    M35A2 idle surge.

Appreciate the follow up to the process. All the little posts and bits of information help. Posts like this were invaluable to getting my M35 back on the road after 12 years dormant. If I might give my 2 cents. YES, at this point the Machine is worth saving. The engine work is really not that...

JUST re-built this past year with a kit from Mikes, 4th bolt is not a big challenge in the grand scheme. Replaced with stainless bolts.......so the next owner will scratch their head. lol Update the thread when you bleed the lines. Let us know how it goes Cheers

If I had a Dollar for Every Time....

One time.....one single time.....I said "1968 M35a2, natural aspirated, 6x6" Guy behind the counter acted like it was in the system. Went and grabbed fuel filters. I asked him about it, turns out his dad uses several Deuces as farm trucks. He knew the part. LOL

Question: If I can get one of the Authors of an Overlanding Build book to do a DIY Zoom meeting, would you be interested?

I would be interested, without a doubt. What would be the focus of the zoom meeting? Direction and advice on conversions? Open Q & A? A grass roots opening to promote content ( a new book )? I am curious what constitutes an 'expert.' Several conversions? Builds? actual travel and over landing...

In tank fuel pump substitute for M35

Repaired a few stock pumps. A good cleaning solves 80% of problems. The stock design has a LOT of play ( i assume for the variety of fuels used in less than ideal conditions ). Definitely looking into the Walbro. Cheers

Overthinking things again - Grease - Wheel bearings

My HUMBLE opinion... Do NOT mix grease....No bueno. MANY react with each other, causing compounds to precipitate out, or the grease to lose or develop undesirable properties. The products balance the amount a oil 'liberated' at different conditions. Too much free synthetic oil will not...

    Fuel return line

Personal preference for all equipment, particularly if it is not easily near the shop, metallic fuel lines. spray down with fluid film or some petroleum product to protect from weathering. Does not take much longer than flexible / rubber lines. Employed similar strategy for the breather /...
