    Tools on the road

I agree their are many variables that come into play. I use it as a visual reminder and have a mark on the face at the point my truck feels iffy. The inner ear can play tricks on you especially when you are on the down ward slope of an sharp angle. Mine is very accurate and is easily adjusted by...

    front brake hoses collapsed??

I have had collapsed hoses for no other reason then age, but, that doesn't cause a front hub to get hot to the touch. Usually thats bearings, grease, or over tight hub nuts.

Quick fixes/ emergency repairs/ jerry rigging/ inovations that will get you home.

Many expedient fixes date way back to the earliest vehicles and most are workable today, just a few I've used: A stiff clothes hanger wired to the windshield wiper when the motor goes bad .. push-pull, Womens hose as a V belt, Don't ask :-? Large piece of wood between the frame rail and...

    nutserts and install tools

I bought a great air tool with multiple heads for installing nutserts on ebay. Well worth the $150, but I use it alot too. IMHO, stay away from the manual type install tools. They don't seem to tighten down enough and the nutsert will work lose in a short amount of time. The military nutserts I...
