    Need Boston Area CUCV mechanic

Mike's a great guy. I've sold him trucks & parts in the past. Very fair guy to deal with. I'm not sure if he repairs other people's trucks, but he's worth reaching out to. P.M. if you need his contact info. He's a very knowledgeable guy when it comes to CUCV's. He's like the Cucvrus of...

    Need Boston Area CUCV mechanic

Pine Hill Auto Repair in Holbrook Ma was replacing a 6.2 diesel in an 85ish suburban last year when I got my truck inspected. They had that truck up & running so I'm confident they can handle your injector pump. I'm not sure if they have experience on your M1010's electrical system...

Looking for *exact* tools used to remove mechanical fuel pump bolts.

CUCVRUS has a great write up on this (I followed his instructions to do mine). Instead of using a swivel, try a wobbly extension.

Sprung hood at 30mph. Binding against cowl. Help

CUCVRUS, I was just checking to make sure you were paying attention. You passed the test. For some reason I had visions of a bent hood that was already junk. I quess it pays not to jump to conclusions.

Alternator bolt broke off in head.

I measured that hole at 15/16" deep. On a side note, that bolt was already broken off on my truck when I bought it. Someone just ran a bolt through the bracket/alternator/bracket and put a washer & nut on the back side. The alternator was not supported on the engine side. I ran the truck like...

Alternator bolt broke off in head.

I will get a measurement for you tonight after work. I ran into this problem on my M1028. I bought Harbor Freight right angle drill for $30 or $40 and some of their left handed drill bits. The left handed drill billts drill with the drill in reverse. They act as a screw extractor and when...

How is the sheetmetal besides the crusty inner fender wells?
