Question - assistance converting air park/emergency valves to single unit

Really great thread OD. We need to roll this into a definitive LMTV air brake sticky. It sucks to page through 10 threads to find those part numbers for brake chambers or rebuild kits for one way valves.

    Air Bag ?

This suspension design is to spread a heavy load across both axles. It limits articulation because as the front picks up it loads the back spring. because of the springs it harsh unloaded but cheap to build and great at heavy loads. If you were to change this truck you could go with more of a...

    The last under 10grand M1078

The indicators of a good investment is how happy it makes you! I got a raft of crap for buying in Georgia and shipping to Oregon. At the end of it i have a running winch truck for $7500. listen to the supportive and let the bad eggs in the group fly over head. Happy recovery.

Question - assistance converting air park/emergency valves to single unit

Im kind of thinking res 2 needs to be plumbed in to air source. Like park and trailer are setup for seperate source and needs t instead of plug.

Question - assistance converting air park/emergency valves to single unit

You should have an industrial hose supplier in your area. Any place that deals with hydraulic lines should carry air line stuff. We have a company locally called pacific rubber, they carry the same dot fitting for $3-$4.

Question - assistance converting air park/emergency valves to single unit

Ok i see. Reducer bushings from 3/8 to 1/4 would work. The fittings on there are the same as i linked. You push or pull on the collar and the line pulls out to change them. I would be concerned about adding more leak points by using the reducers but they would be safe. Dot just certifies them...

Question - assistance converting air park/emergency valves to single unit

to connect the air lines to valve. use DOT connectors. threaded on one end and push the tubing into the other. they are cheaper locally if you have a hose supplier or big rig parts store. hose barbs are not approved and your safety is at stake...

Had it shipped. The gentleman was retired truck driver and hot shoting for extra cash. Got it here in 3 days. I was rather surprised when he got out of the truck and started throwing off chains. He was 78 and spry as the day is long. Truck had bad fuel. Clogged filters. Two bad batteries and...

LMTV loosing prime after sitting ??

Air leaks between filter and tank? Filter sealed well? Drain seated properly? Try talc powder to look for seeping diesel. When I cleaned my fuel system out I heard a check valve/flapper in the tank. Have you tried blowing compressed air down the draw fitting to blow out debris and clear it...

    M1078 air leak behind grill

It is normal to hear air venting out of it when you pull the parking brake because it is actually venting the pressure away from the spring brakes, and that is where the air will vent to. It would be a good idea to check both your trailer supply valve and parking valve as my trailer valve was...

    M1078 air leak behind grill

that's the vent end. it's connected to air brakes and CTIS, did your pressure gauge start dropping or did you just hear the air?

    LMTV numbers for filters

Thanks for posting the numbers Ron I meant to do it after I picked a couple up. On the first number the 5 should be removed. Wix 33755. If you haven't used fleet filter to purchase filters it's highly recommended. Napa runs around $50 for this one and ff is $22. There is also an xe version...

Air leak, front emergency gladhand, no air at rear gladhands

I replaced my trailer control valve as that is what was causing my air at rear glad hand. I started tracing the lines back from the front glad hand and i think they had this problem while it was in service because the check valve at the T is new. It functions correctly so i moved on to the the...
