Marty,
Welcome aboard,
Don't worry about that valve in your application.
As mentioned it's for the T-case control which your not using.
Put more permanent plugs in and roll on.

Spent time replacing filters, fluids, cleaning, installing winter front, on my M35A1, getting ready
For winter, and soon listing it for sale.
Then took it for a quick drive, parked and plugged in the battery tender.
Bring on the cold!

Thanks for the tip.
After reading DH thread you posted and saw he list the compatible numbers the Sig-Stat 121 rang a bell
After going through my electrical cabinets I found a couple 121's
Wired that in and it all works as intended.
Thanks Again
Tom
The Electronic Flasher died from self inflicted short, when while changing fuel filters Last
Month and stepping on the lower inner apron, pinching one of the wires to the frame.
So I went to unscrew the plug to change flasher and broke the nipple off the flasher.
Somebody before me fell asleep...
Sorry for the type O
Yes Windows 8.1 IE 11 and I never had a problem until recently.
Neither of the two address's will work https or http which will automatically change to https.
Today I downloaded Microsoft edge on my PC (Win.8.1) due to increasing number of sites

Went to a friend and used his machine with Microsoft Edge and worked fine.
Is this a result of the upgrade?
And means I need to get a newer PC...
The civilian Dist had the pop up oil door as shown.
Military Dist. had the brass plug for obvious fording reasons.
I oil mine at every oil change.
Just a few drops will do.
It lubes the shaft bushing.

I use one 24V tender resting on the bed frame rail flange.
Plugged in to a weather proof 3 wire cord and the other end to the
Battery disconnect switch mounted on the battery box.
The bed shields it from the weather.
Been like that for years.
Stop worrying, you'll be fine.

Nice Truck.
Some like to use quality rubber line from pump to carb routed over to
Inner fender and back to the carb.
I used 5/16 steel brake line routed as mentioned on my WDX Power Wagon
And fuel hose on the M37 as a temporary fix one year at the rally.
Still planning on changing it, but...
Need to have the heat shield as mentioned, above the pump.
Typical military and power wagon vendors have nice reproductions available.
Moving the fuel line from pump to carb. farther away from the manifold will help.
Biggest problem is the manifold preheat stove (butterfly) located between...
No element that I know of.
There should be a screen at the top.
That is a civilian pump and there was another glass bowl with filter at the Carb.
Earlier carbs had a element inside the carb., later carbs. had the bowl.
The correct M37 pump was a dual action pump, meaning pumped fuel and Vacuum...
Everything I have, be car, truck, equipment, has a Battery tender brand tender.
There are many cheaper ones, but I had have the best service from them.
And they back them up.
They have Solar too.
