I already bought the 3" bearing socket at NAPA (luckily, I haven't needed to use it yet!). Dang thing was expensive though! $56!!! So nothing larger than 1 1/2"? Sounds like I might be able to get away with the 3/4" drive with that.

Hey guys, After buying this truck, it is obvious that I am going to need some larger wrenches and sockets than I currently own. What's the largest nut size on the Deuce? Do you think 3/4" drive is big enough or do I need some 1" drive sockets?

Check out Armorworks. (Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles). They don't have anything specifically for the Deuce, but if enough of us got together for a larger order, maybe they might do something... who knows...

I would agree with large Grade 8 bolts installed with red Loctite to replace the rivets (you don't want them coming loose). Just my 2cents

Was the gasoline mixed with true AVGAS or jet fuel? Avgas is high octane. Jet fuel is closer to kerosene (and a lower octane equivalent). Kerosene is okay to use in your Deuce as per the multi-fuel design. Avgas or other high octane fuel is not the best choice to run in what is basically a...

You may just be right, Kohburn. :-) I've got a mechanical gauge that I will hook up first to see what is "truth".

I have the opposite problem. Once my Deuce gets started, oil pressure jumps to about 60 lbs. When it is running, it practically pegs the gauge at almost 120 psi. Even when warm and at idle, it reads 45 psi. Is this too high?

AZDeuce (member here) showed me the exact same setup on his truck. Very slick!

Hmmm... okay. But it doesn't seem very effective on my seat. Maybe the shock is worn out and the springs are the only things controlling the motion? Do these shock absorbers in the springer seats wear out? I have about 52K miles on the odometer of my truck...
