I overfilled my transmission by way to much. I have not driven it yet and plan to drain it down before I take it out to drive. Is there anything that need to replace or be worried about after the overfill? Will the modulator be fine? Do I just drain it down to nomal level and then I am good to go?

Buying a m1008 tomorrow but had a quick question about the vin. The vin on the door post has been scratched out and there is a new plate rivited just above the factory one. The guy I am buying it from said it is supposed to be like this since it is a military vehicle. Is ther any truth to this?
