Hello all,
I need some help finding (or repairing) the cupola cover for my M35's roof. I have the cover, but it's old and has finally ripped.
Thanks!!!!
I know when my unit transitioned from Hueys to 'Hawks, we flew all six down south for storage (sadly, two went by flat bed). Many of these end up as foreign military sales, or as parts. Even if you can get one for private or commercial use, it is certified as "experimental" and therefore, not...
Sorry...can't resist to toss in my opinion...sure, what someone does on their property is pretty much their business - as it should be! That's one of the reasons many of us served - to protect people's liberty and yes, their right to be stupid.
On the other hand, there's common sense. When...
Hey everyone,
Thanks for the shamless plug...new, brass, interconnecting stencils are back up in the classifieds - check out the ad for details. To show my thanks to your support, I'll donate all the proceeds for the first order to the SS Web site.
I have used them to update all the markings...
Anyone know what the speed rating is for the Superlug 9x19LT? I just towed the trailer home (80 miles) at 65 mph on a 80 degree day with no problems - both tires and wheels felt cool and did not seem to heat up at all on the trip. Thanks!
Won two M101 A1's at Carson and picked them up today! One at a time was a bummer, but both towed great. What a joy after pulling a 105!!! Trailers are in great shape, new covers, good stakes, no dents or rust and brand new Superlugs on both!!! Nothing like a GOOD surprise. And as an added bonus...
Appreciate the shameless plug  ...but I now have more of the brass interlocking letter number stencils in 1/2, 1, 2 and 3 inch flavors! Details in the classified section. If this posting is outta line, pls let me know...at least I get to show off my truck. Picture is my M35 with the...
I have received a title for both my M35 and 105. For each, I went to the DMV to get temporary tags - you can get either 30 or 90 day temps - for the 90 day temps, you have to pay the entire registration fee - with my insurance card (AAA) and GL bill of sale (just the invoice with the price paid...
Shameless plug... but I have some new brass, interlocking stencils 1", 2" and 3" (all with NSN - gov't supplied) at a much lower cost than I've seen elsewhere. I used them for stenciling my M35 and they worked great. PM if you're interested. Thanks!!
Not sure if this helped or not, but I included a copy of my ID card (retired Navy) with my driver's licence and got my EUC in seven days two different times - first was the duece and second was the 105. That was Aug and Nov of last year, though.
Good stuff, Phil! I was stashed at VP-48 for about six months and I was impressed with what those airplanes could do. Anyway, we needed some of that training...up in the North Pacific off the coast of Vladivostok were almost hit by a very low flying Bear F - came from behind and probably cleared...
