Ive come across alot of people talking about the m37 4bt swap so is there anyone here that has made or can make another set of motor mounts? I would try a machine shop but explaining to them exactly what i need would be harder than asking some of you experienced fabricators that have already...

I was refering and agreeing to Tanner's first reply. You can put a turbo on anything you want but if you dont have the right setup then whats the point

just because something is turbo'd doesnt mean its better

hmmm, I just picked up the engine and tranny a few days ago. I got the pair for 1800. separate. I know just the engine is worth that so i didnt put much thought behind it and it sounded like a good setup. Looks like ill be putting it for sale. Do you know a good source to find the Spicer 3053a?

allison 1000 series. I chose this because with the axle gears i couldnt go wrong. I figured 1800 rpm, 1:1 t-case, .61:1 (6th) tranny, with 38" tires. Still able to go almost 60mph with out even going to a bigger tire. And i honestly dont want to go any faster than that anyways with out upgraded...

Im actually taking out the original engine, transmission, and electrical system. I just got a 4bt and allison. Im deploying in 2 weeks for 6 months and would like to have everything at home when i get back so i can tackle the project while on leave for a month. Thanks for the info guys ill look...

Well it feels like ive searched the entire internet. Still nothing. I did notice that some 1940's-1950's Ford and GMC Farm trucks came with a wide 5 lug but the bold pattern is 5 x 7 7/8 (This is a 5 lug 20" wheel). The M37 is 5 x 6 7/8. Late 70's winnebago' s also had a similar set up...

Heres my next issue. The pump that was on it seems like it was brand new. It looks as if you pulled it out of the box and bolted it on. I took it apart to check the diaphrams because todays gas eats away at those things. I couldnt find anything but i did lose about a half a gallon of gas into...

I had the same problem on my m37. The previous owner ran his own line trying to get it to run and ended up hooking the fuel lines to the vaccume side for the wipers. After i fixed that and changed the oil it started right up. He would be pissed if he found out because i bought the truck for $800
