    Power steering pump

I'm more interested in volume than pressure. Anything from 1450 to about 1650 psi word work.

    Power steering pump

Hot rodded may have been the wrong wording. I was hoping that it might put out at least 5 or 6 GPM and at least 1650 psi.

    Power steering pump

Was hoping it would be something more hot rodded than that.

    Power steering pump

Sorry, I dropped one of the 1's when I typed my post. Would you happen to know any specs of this pump.

    Remote Power Steering Reservior

I've been trying to find information in the TM's, without any success, on the remote power steering reservoir used with the latest model power steering pumps. I'm mainly trying to find out if the sight glass on the side is where the full level is supposed to be.

    Ring gear spacer?

I did Steve, it is 4.56. It wound up being just the way the carrier was machined. Thanks for responding.

    Ring gear spacer?

Well, I couldn't stand waiting until tomorrow. After I took the cover off I got to looking really close and I don't think that it's a spacer after all. But I'm going to attach a picture anyway. Let me know what you think.

    Ring gear spacer?

Steve, I'll get some pictures for you tomorrow. There is no indication whatsoever that this thing had been into since it left the factory until I opened it up.

    Ring gear spacer?

Steve, I trust your experience but is it possible that it could have been done if they needed to use up some 4.10 carriers. I took this rear end out of a CUCV myself so I know that it is original. I have build quite a few front and rear ends so I am not new to this. I'm not trying to argue...

    Ring gear spacer?

I just opened up a 14 bolt rear axle from a M1008 CUCV. It initially appears that there is a spacer behind the ring gear. Did GM sometimes use 4.10 carriers with a spacer behind a 4.56 ring gear in CUCV applications?

    M1028

I put a post in the classifieds looking for some 35 spline side gears for a Dana 60 Trac-Lok but I wasn't 100% sure that they had them. Maybe someone will have some and respond. Thanks

    M1028

    Didn't the M1028 come with a Trac-Lok in the Dana 60 Front?

    Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know.

Do you have anymore information on the CUCV II's? I've never heard of them.

What years were CUCv's made and did any ever come with a 4L80E?

    Military WMO filter

That's where I saw this to begin with. I have no idea for sure what they used, I assume that they used anything that they had available at the time. I just thought that if this was viable technology, and I could find some more information about it, I would try to build a setup myself. That...

    Military WMO filter

I read about a WMO filter that the military used during WWII. It uses a series of stainless steel filters and some kind of desiccant to clean and de-water the oil. Does anyone know if there is a TM that might have some info about this process?

    Blackout light bypass

Got him to keep the switches but I would like to see the pictures anyway. If it ever comes up again this would be good stuff to know. Warthog made a post about this but pictures would be great for future reference. Thanks

    Blackout light bypass

Well I found the problem. When he put the new switch in somehow or another he pushed the battery feed wire out of the plug. The tail light feed is a different wire so we were getting power to them but not the headlights. I think that his whole problem started with a blown fuse. Gonna see if he...
