Mice made a mess! In need of a new hood liner.

Gents, Mice have been bad this winter! Started the 925 up, turned on the heater….smelled awful (mixture of mice piss and burnt plastic). Opened the hood up, found this (post cleaning the engine off): Plastic from the liner had melted onto to the exhaust header…..took a bit to scrape that...

    Battery adapters printing

Hi Juan Do you know how much they’re asking for the risers? Material it’s made out of? A block of aluminum to cut that profile out of (with a slot cut that might require a special tool) might make these worth the cost.

The Road Goes On Forever and the Party Never Ends

If the coolant is coming out of the heater core, likely need a recore…..its a bit pricy, but worth it for the long haul. Here’s a thread on it: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/m939-heater-core.115488/page-4#post-2187033

    CNC Mill

I ran into same problem, but specifically sought out a machine that could work on single phase (with slight modification). It derated it from 15HP to 10HP, but for most applications, that’s fine. A Bridgeport can be converted to single phase (change out motor or go with a rotary converter)...

    CNC Mill

That‘s probably your best option…..I couldn’t imagine what it would cost if we didn’t fix/repair/do our own maintenance. I would love to pull into Jiffy Lube and see what they’d charge for an oil/filter change on a NHC250.

    CNC Mill

Typically a .dxf will do…..but I think if you took an iPic of your Fusion 360 drawing (with dimensions) and posted in here, you’d get a bunch of ideas on how to produce what you‘re looking for. Unless you’re looking for ”close” tolerance parts (small quantity), CNC with set up time, fixtures...

    MEP-362a

Hi Guyfang Yes, please upload the TM’s if you get a chance. I’ve got a 362A that’s “locked up”, gearbox won’t turn over when doing a ”dry” run. I set the unit aside until I could find manuals, expert “don’t do this” before giving it a run. Thank you!

    Up graded the crane

I can only post in here as you guys know what it takes to rebuild stuff. The project was a monster, but like anything, why do it 1/2 assed.

    Up graded the crane

Absolutely outstanding! I don’t know if you remember me, but I came and looked at a Mule you had for sale.....but ended up selling my winch to you. I was in process on a crane rebuild....finished a couple years ago.

Top notch machining on these filter adapters Ray! Took no more than 15 minutes to swap out. Well done sir!

    Mep002a gauges

Until we find a nice set of replacement gauges, one of these will get you by: kill a watt. I think I paid $20 on one of the Chinese import sites.

MEP 003A, CB2 DC Circuit Breaker Trip

Chainbreaker, Haha, exactly the way I (and a lot of us ) think......have “plan c”. I was doing annual maintenance on our generator, was popping the DC breaker after a 30 minute run (warming up for oil and filter(s) change), after that problem developed....went to our 2nd generator (hadn’t been...

MEP 003A, CB2 DC Circuit Breaker Trip

Great post! Popped the DC breaker and spent a good hour looking for a short to ground. Read this post, found the 1st pump was bad (After removing the capacitors on all three pumps)..Ordered a new one (thank you Guyfang), soldered and heat shrinked the wires together. Thank you!

    CNC Mill

Fusion likely has an Anillam post processor when you go to create the code. I found a ton of information on the Fusion forums as to post processing. After creating my tool file (I own Maritool holders, made in USA, Fusion has pre set tool files for most of what they offer)......then using...

Very true! If you can draw in autocad, know your set up, it’s amazing what it automates.

    CNC Mill

Just happened to notice this on our site! Very cool. I’m a hobbyist. I have a Fadal VMC 15, use Fusion 360 for code, make parts for friends and neighbors (farmers). Helped pay my way through school on a Bridgeport and Leblond lathe (learned programming in late 80’s, early 90’s).
