    It's been a while.. M151 project

A long overdue update, this project is now posted for sale on craigslist and facebook. That being said, I am offering it for free to anyone on steelsoldiers or g838 that can pick it up this week and confirms it. At that point i will remove the listings of it for sale... would rather someone get...

    It's been a while.. M151 project

Apologies for lack of updates, have been busy with home / medical stuff and working on my jeep zj. I will get back to this project once things settle down again.

SETOYOTA: I believe it is, pretty sure I just mis-remembered my rack on the 109. I was under the 109 a few days ago and forgot to take a look at the rack again. Unfortunately the 80+ degree day we had means the paper wasps/yellowjackets are out looking for new places to nest, so had to make...

    It's been a while.. M151 project

Travis came by today and we managed to get a bit more work done. At this point the carburetor has been removed, starter was pulled to get the trans cap and shift forks off, then reinstalled so we could hit the ignition while beating on things. Transmission is a rust bucket, there was no fluid...

650... not 550... and here is the update i posted to the 838 ----- Since I pretty much took the weekend to kick back and work on other stuff, catch up on sleep, and just relax in general... An update is overdue. The tldr version is nothing was done this weekend... The full version is...

To clarify, the 550 is to get it running, moving, stopping, and electrical working. If I can do it for that price or less, then I will be keeping it around as a long term project.

Oh definitely going to work on getting it running. At the very least, it should be fun out in west texas next time i manage to get out to my land. Although I am seriously considering getting someone to rebuild the cage to something more like a chenowth. I guess it's a wait and see thing at this...

Rack looked different than my m109a3 based on memory, but that rack is currently 6" from an overgrown fence, so my memory may be faulty, and I don't want to crawl under it to check it :P As far as pics go, I plan on getting more later, for now, here is the album...

    It's been a while.. M151 project

Ok to start off with, this project is probably about the worst thing that could happen to an m151, but, i like it. Picked up a sand rail m151 recently at auction... Am already getting help over at g838, but I figured I would see if anyone can id what vehicle this pioneer rack came off of. It...

San Antonio, TX Monthly MV get together!!

Unsure as of now if I can make it. Was told a few hours ago that starting at 6am tomorrow I am going to be tied up emptying the garage and clearing the back yard so the new driveway and slab for the work shed can be poured. I love advance notice, one day I may actually receive some. On the plus...

M109A3 from Gatesville, TX to San Antonio, TX

Yeah, bit of oil, bit of diesel, the stuck engine kill switch threw me for a loop :P Drove it the last 3.3 miles home and quickly got used to it (been a long time since I last drove a deuce). Amazed everyone with my flawless parallel parking skills... Ok... mostly amazed myself... but still...

M109A3 from Gatesville, TX to San Antonio, TX

Update: The person I sold my RV to gave me a number for a broker he uses on occasion, managed to get a pickup scheduled with very little notice, and my truck is on it's way here now. Price was slightly more than I had budgeted, but the sale of the RV covered the extra. So in 3-5 hours I should...

M109A3 from Gatesville, TX to San Antonio, TX

Thanks Tornadogt, I contacted the transporter, received a fair quote, and unfortunately he is unavailable on the 18th. So it looks like my options are: 1) head up on the 18th, get a jump and move it 1.5 miles to an rv storage 2) same as 1 but get a local towing company to take it to the...

M109A3 from Gatesville, TX to San Antonio, TX

Welp, it's been a couple of months and I just received notification that my EUC cleared. Looks like my last day to pick her up before storage charges kick in is 01/13/17. Any and all help would be appreciated. Tornadogt: may end up needing that number after all

Contacted JWade and it looks like the survey was done before the relisting. Will need to contact customer service for SF97 as I didn't get the option for one during checkout, but so far everything is looking good.

Tornadogt: Thanks for the info. I'll shoot you a pm if I need the info or update here if it turns out the rad survey hasn't been completed. Guess my next order of business is to find a few hours to work on the rv and f150 to get them out of here and clear up some space.

M109A3 from Gatesville, TX to San Antonio, TX

fuzzytoaster: Good to know, figured it would be something like that. As far as tanks are concerned, I have had to clean my fair share of them. My favorite was the motorcycle tank that, when de-rusted, perfectly leaked gas from 50-60 pinholes showing exactly where the water line was. The worst so...

M109A3 from Gatesville, TX to San Antonio, TX

Noticed after I posted in this section that there is a gp/gl section, probably should have posted there. EUC paperwork has been emailed, gp said it looked good and they will send it in the next batch. airbornebandsman: Thanks much, will update when I know more fuzzytoaster: Why would I need...
