The east coast trucks seem to fare much better than the west coast trucks though - you'd think they'd communicate with each other and get on the same page.
I'm not sure if there is a manual, but like NDT said - the issue is the springs, not the shocks. Rod Hall and Fox are both pretty responsive when it comes to questions - the couple of times I've called Rod Hall Products, Chad Hall answered the phone.
With that said - the ride really isn't all...
I'd 100pct restore the GMV versus moving things around. I just looked at the pics - it's a darned shame that Yermo pulls the penalty boxes off of those trucks. At least Albany doesn't remove them from the trucks they get.
It definitely looks more correct than the way it was - the previous look looks like someone took a 10 series kit and put it on an 11 series truck, so it just doesn't look right. The armor package is definitely where it's at.
He's in the FB groups - I'm not sure if he's on SS. He's fabbed up some pretty amazing products that are hard as hell to get.
I'll be getting his set for my GMV - I'm glad to hear that it bolted right up. I had heard that he wasn't doing holes for a while. I've got roller doors and while I know...
I did the same, but mounted the camera higher, up under the shelf that the Rhino locks into. Putting it there allowed the camera to be more protected and still allowed for an unimpeded view.
I did it doing a multi-layered process. It's not cheap by the time you add it all up, but it's a very notable difference, - you can actually have a conversation with each other across the slantback. Do it right by cleaning, scrubbing and vacuuming all of the dirt and sand out of the truck and...
Slowly (painfully) but surely, I'm getting there with this build. I've got the outside just about done - still need to run antenna cables, etc. I've still got to get the markings put on it, then it's finishing up the interior by getting the gun/can mounts and insulation installed. I've got a...
My truck came with the armor removed, but the armored DWF exhaust on. Quite frankly, it looks goofy standing off from the body with spacers, so I cut and welded mine so that it sits up against the body like it's supposed to.
As much as I'm not a huge fan of dealing with them (slow to ship), Federal Military Parts has precut glass available. That's who I used to recently replace mine.
This project is taking longer than I intended for it to be with work, kids sports and life in general getting in the way. Considering the work that's gone into it for general maintenance, new parts, etc - she ain't bad. Just a recap, but I used a cheap HF HVLP gun that I opened up with a 5/64"...
You're calling me arrogant......
Thanks for your website bio, but I've been here for some time as well and know very well how things work. I've owned and restored Humvees for over a decade at this point and also do what I can to help folks getting into this world. This is my first CUCV though...
