UPDATE!!
Yesterday I was able work on the truck and remove the thermostat. The first thing I noticed was how little coolant came out of the radiator and tstat housing. This is really odd because I checked the radiator the day she ran really hot. There was fluid in the radiator filler neck just...
Hello All,
Last week I pulled the Deuce out of her winter resting spot hoping to get some dirt for the yard. (I start and let her idle every few weeks throughout the winter but no driving)
I checked the oil, coolant, tire pressures ect. Everything looked good so we headed out. A couple miles...
Good Morning from the East Coast,
Ive had my girl for about 2 years now and she has always been a member of the "leak of the week" club. Initially it was little bits of oil dripping out of the turbo on to the ground, nothing to raise an alarm for. However, I have been noticing another leak...
I did the same thing initially but now that puts the truck at 18,500# and federal inspection kicks in at 18000# (someone else can clarify I don't 100% remember). So I put down a load max of 1000# (per the suggestion of the teller at the DMV) and the total loaded vehicle weight was 14500# and not...
what is the weight you are trying to register the truck as? I was given the same cr@p about federal safety inspection or something but then I explained the truck is going to be a restore project so they dropped the weight of the loaded truck down below 18,000# and they were happy.......
This was my first attempt at registering something like this so each time I went they told me something new I needed in order to complete the registration. Even though I asked EACH TIME what I needed to have. Its as if they hold information from you. Also, FYI they do not (I repeat) DO NOT...
This passed Sunday was my second time at the American Legions flag retiring ceremony one town over from me here in CT. I "convoyed" there with a friend and his M37. My girl ran like a champ!! When we arrived there was another Willys jeep and the 1939 halftrack (fully operational). It was driven...
Took me 5 tries to finally get my deuce through the of BS the CT DMV puts out there. Did the temp plate and took it in for the vin check in Hamden was out of there in 10 minutes max (it was on a rainy day so I think the guy just didnt want to climb all over a wet truck). I didnt even have brake...
My deuce has been running really hot as well lately. She peaks at 240 degrees even in the bitter cold we've had recently here in the Northeast. Last summer she never passed 210, even in the heat wave while we sat in traffic for a country concert. Could it be just bad temp gauges?
hey guys,
last summer my girl, EV, had a headlight go out and a coworker of mine was nice enough to give me a replacement as he also has the green fever. However, when i installed the light and turn it on i could see smoke form in the lens but the light worked for a while. Then a week or so...
I know that this question has probably been asked more times than I can count but I like to be 100% positive before making purchases. I want to super single out my deuce with michelin xzl's on hemtt rims, will this combo work on a m35a2 without much trouble? i know i will need to flip the hubs...
I did have that trouble at first, the boost pressure was pushing the fuel back up to the tank. So I added a small fuel pump and she's been good ever since boosting well over 15 psi.
yes shes a puller but doesn't fit into our stock class because of the turbo or super stock class because of a lack of upgrades. The tires are the result of a friend joking about how I should put them on and me LOVING that idea!
