i have today removed the cover over the engine stop linkage, when the fuel pump is on i get a drip of fuel about every 1 second, i am assuming this is the hydraulic head leaking? i suspect this is the cause of the problem?

finally getting around to trying to get it going again, if gummed up is the issue, which it sounds like, is there any way of getting it apart to clean the crap out? thanks in advance

i think some crap might have made it through to the HH, is it possible to dismantle it and clean it once its removed, dont want to mess it up, parts are hard to come by in the UK

had the pump out and cleaned it up,tried it in a bucket of clean diesel, sprayed about 10 feet, assume that means its working, is there anywhere i can put in a pressure gauge?

why would that stop it starting? when i say it wont idle, the engine just dies.

Mine has been disconnected also, where is it located? seem like its an important safety feature.

Does anyone happen to know the size of the rear canvas on a deuce? replacement here in the uk over £650, but ive been offered a new canvass from a british 4 ton bedford, so need to check the size. thanks in advance.. :grin:
