Does anyone know if the spare tire boom can be used to lift other materials into the back of the truck? Any idea what the weight limits are of the Boom? At what weight will it snap in two? I'm thinking of using a hoist to lift a Hot Tub into the back? Any ideas? Did I make you laugh?
Any advice...
Thanks for the help. i like the suggestions, especially the quick coupler. I like the idea about the 1 inch drive but am worried that there may be too much pound per foot torque. I think the TM calls for 450-500 pound per foot, but I agree with "Getting the job done" when it happens! Thanks for...
Thank you!!
Thanks for the information. I appreciate the specifics. I'm trying to get the tools in the vent I get a flat on the road or in the forest. I think I read in the manual that the maximum ft/lb limit for lug nuts is between 450-500. But if they were tightened tighter I could be in...
I'm trying to get a glad hand connector with air hose and purchase a 20 ton air bottle jack and 1/2 drive impact wrench with 500 pounds per feet. Any suggestions on what size hose to get? Do you know the CFM (cubic feet per minute) rate of air flow of the M923? Any suggestions would be greatly...

I need help figuring out how to change the motor oil on my M923. I did look at the TM and didn't see specific enough instruction. I have heard that I may have to detach the whole oil pan or is there a drain plug? Any help would be appreciated.
The unlock lever was the one that broke off. A friend didn't understand how it worked and twisted it so hard that the inside pin/screw snapped. Thanks for responding to this thread!
Thanks for taking the time to respond. A friend of mine, uncertain how to use the release lever (3) just twisted it off until it broke the pin/screw. The screw cracked on lever 3, yes! I see what you're talking about and I will also check the TM for more info.
Thanks again!
I have a real original (200 miles & 813 hours) '84 M-923 and when I was turning on the Headlights I snapped the safety toggle and it fell off in my hand. Do you know how i can replace/repair that? Bojock@msn.com
