    Looking at a 1952 M38A1

That’s what I thought as the fender joint to the tub is 45 degrees on the 52 while vertical on the 53 and this one is vertical as well. I’ve been doing some research.

    Looking at a 1952 M38A1

I’m not too worried as if I keep it for a long time it will get a frame off rebuild. Normally I restore classic cars, I know all about brittle wiring. Lol. I’ve done a complete resto mod on a 50 Chevy sedan and I am doing a full restoration on a 1955 Cadillac Coupe Deville (parts are like hens...

    Looking at a 1952 M38A1

He did say it looks better in the pictures. Also some of the dash gauges are not working. Speedometer he said does work. He values it around $6k in the current condition. We are going to try and meet up at the car show in Houston this week.

    Looking at a 1952 M38A1

Hi Guy’s, l have been lurking on steel soldiers for a while. I wanted a deuce and a half but every time I had the money for one some emergency came up. Anyhow fast forward to today. I have an El Camino up for sale at the moment and have been offered a M38A1 in trade for it. Spoken to the guy on...

Transport of Bobbed Deuce from Austin TX to Deer Park TX

It runs. Owner said it would be better to trailer it. I don't think it has been driven on a long trip. It will be a 230 mile trip to home. This will be my first Duece, I know top speed is low and noise levels are high on the freeway.

    East Texas micro-rally!

Will try and make it out there. I know this weekend I have a guy coming to pick up a car I just sold on Saturday. I will then have the funds to buy my Deuce and a half. I like the bobbed one that's for sale on here out in Buchanan, looking for something similar.

What Model is This and would I need a CDL in Texas to drive it?

Hi, I have just been offered this truck in the picture. I'm new to MV's, can you tell me what model it is. It looks like a 5 ton but the bed seems shorter then most. Thanks, Alex

    Greater Houston-area Events

Here's what I found today for sale. I thought it was a M275 but it's way too big, looks like a 5 ton, it's in a used parking lot. No price on it yet.

Well I checked out that Deuce that my friend saw. It looks like a M275 tractor, it has a 5th wheel on the back.

    Greater Houston-area Events

Haven't had a chance yet. Got in and it's persisting down, not good weather to look at a vehicle.

Was great meeting you all. I'll bring the wife to the next one. She's now realized why I was looking at Deuces. Lol

Either Saturday would be fine to me. Don't have a MV yet, just want to check out some. I've just put up my 1950 Chevy custom for sale to give me the funds.

    Hello from Texas

What was the British vehicle you had? My dad drove Scammell Pioneer recovery vehicles during WWII amongst others.

    Hello from Texas

I know they are loud and uncomfortable over long distances. Try riding in a 58 Chevy pickup with no leg room and open headers for 4 hours. Lol I have seen one about town but haven't caught up with the owner yet.

    Hello from Texas

Seen that one. It's a nice truck. I like building stuff more than anything else.

    Hello from Texas

I might try and make it over, I think another forum I'm on might have a breakfast that day as well. Thanks for the invite.

    Hello from Texas

Hi, New to the forum. I'm an ex Brit who has now lived in Texas for 10 years. I have been building Hot Rods and customs for a few years and now want to try something bigger. I have been looking at M35A2's, especially bobbed ones as it has to fit behind my driveway gate. Neighbor owns an 18...
