thanks, sounds ez enuff.. I cant wait on the solenoid to come in, ive been working on getting her running. When i bought my current m1008 i was kinda scared she might not come back to life without a donor heart(motor). lol. but with what ive seen im pretty sure this solenoid is why the PO...
I ordered a new fuel shutoff solenoid since my wasnt working. When i install the new is there anything special to putting it back together? With the way the arm is made i just wanna make sure theres not a certain postion or such when installing?? thanks in advance
1 more question guys.. earlier in thread i mentiond starter bolt issues, the PO had broken & then tried drilling em out. So. i retaped the hole closest to crank since it was to badly damaged. But i had to drill out the outside bolt hole an use helicoils to repair it. It is holding pretty good...
FYI: After some digging i found the original GM part number 15577535 Injection frame kit with arm solenoid, aldo interchanges with 14067411 & 26214. From what i read its the same for the cucv or civy. Also the other solenoid in the housing is the fuel meter solenoid GM Part # 15578218.

ok guys, y'all were right. the shutoff solenoid seems tobe my problem, i removed & tested it. after cleaning it i got alil movement, but its gotta be replaced. does anyone know the part number for it and does any of the usual parts store keep it in stock? Thanks again for the help
Skinny, ive noticed several items on this mv that need a rebuild. lol. at this point im jus tring to get it running to find out what kinda shape motor & tranny is in before getting to deep. this isnt my first cucv, i was spoiled by my first m1008 it was spotless with 32k miles. i got it years...
Sorry, i didnt know if it would get any attention here.
Skinny, thanks for the info. I hope the solenoid is the issue and not the pump, ill find out tomorrow.
Thanks i'll try both of these tomorrow. So are the injection pumps not bad for going out or do they not go completly out? I was kinda getting the idea it might have been the pump just because of the condition it was in when i got it. Whoever was working on this truck before had removed starter...
Previous owner had already tried rethreading i guess, so i used helicoil an it seems tobe holding. But honestly i havent put much strain on it yet. Ive ran into more issues, i think my Injection pumps bad cuz im not getting fuel at injectors.
Hi Guys, Im still fighting with the 1984 M1008 i recently purchased. When i got it someone had already made a mess of things, but im slowly getting it put back together. I dont even know if the truck was running before, so ive just been getting basics pieced back together, i got electricty &...

Thanks for the advice so far guys!!! i started off going to mount my starter and found why there wasnt one on it. Looks like previous owner was alil on the dingy side, both starter bolts are broken off i managed to get the inside bolt out. But the other is in VERY BAD SHAPE, looks like he has...
