Has anyone ever just put a camper shell on a deuce instead of modifying a M109?

I mean the kind of camper you might see attached to a pickup truck bed. Or I suppose if you found one of the right length you could remove the wheels/axles of a tow-behind camper and use that. Reason i'm asking is because having a working bumpout would be huge, and the M109 doesnt seem like it...

Was that really a thing? What did the switch do? Any pictures?

Anyone here ever take a deuce cab and put it on a commercial truck?

Its mostly the cosmetics. If you could replace the body panels with the deuces it could be interesting. Although that would probably be quite a job, probably moreso than putting the whole cab on

    Rat Deuce project 1

This is awesome! Do you have any new pictures or updates?

Anyone here ever take a deuce cab and put it on a commercial truck?

Neat! How did it turn out? Is there a build thread?

Anyone here ever take a deuce cab and put it on a commercial truck?

I know a lot of people do a lot of things to improve the performance of their deuce. Engine, drivetrain, brakes, etc. I know there are probably some people who are simply interested in the cosmetics of deuce. Has anyone ever taken the cab and bodypanels off a deuce and put them on a commercially...

What mods would you say are the most important or give the most utility to a deuce?

Wow! That turned out great! Are you ever gonna paint the thing all one color scheme? I think the red top stands out a bit too much, but thats just me

What mods would you say are the most important or give the most utility to a deuce?

Now we just need to identify one that would work, which is where you come in! ;) If we could increase the fuel economy I think a lot of people would be happy, and top speed would be nice as well. Maybe one that just has more varied gearing options available? If its geared up higher in the high...

What mods would you say are the most important or give the most utility to a deuce?

Want to hire me when I graduate? 3rd year mechanical engineering student currently  I didnt think about the electronically controlled part. Maybe you could just have a little button you push that automatically shifts the tranny? I suppose a better option would be a newer production manual...

    Insane home Water/meth injection...

Interesting! Ever consider doing a build thread thats not strewn over 28 pages? Did you see any improvements in fuel economy, or was it just an increase in power? How much of a power increase? What did you use as the water container? Just some random thing?

    Insane home Water/meth injection...

Getting back to the original thought...did anyone here ever actually make one of these contraptions? It sounded promising!

What mods would you say are the most important or give the most utility to a deuce?

Do you have a thread of the crew cab build or any pictures? I think a bobbed deuce with crew cab would be pretty cool! @Scottd I thought the front wheels were only powered some of the time? Or does it depend on the year?

What mods would you say are the most important or give the most utility to a deuce?

I'm just getting into this and have yet to get a deuce, but i'm just looking at what mods people feel are the most common, the most useful, etc. I would probably go with super singles, I heard locking hubs increases handling and fuel economy a little, power steering of some sort. I have heard of...

    "Inventing" a "New Multi-Fuel Engine"

The point is to make a NEW multi-fuel engine. I know a lot of people would probably like a smaller version of the multifuel that they could use to run small generators and the like. So if we are okay with omitting gasoline, it sounds like a 5.9 with a p-pump is probably the way to go. So we know...

    "Inventing" a "New Multi-Fuel Engine"

Well, I suppose in the kind of scenario many of us try to plan for then gas would probably be the least available fuel, not to mention how fast it goes bad anyways. The ones you listed are definitely going to be more common, so if we kept it to those we can probably account for 95% of all the...

    "Inventing" a "New Multi-Fuel Engine"

That is assuming the casting has the injector angle cast into it. It probably does, but there is always a slim chance it does not. Perhaps we are thinking too big at the moment. It would probably be loads easier and cheaper to take something like an old couple HP diesel engine from a lawnmower...

    "Inventing" a "New Multi-Fuel Engine"

That does look like it could be a promising avenue. It looks like they cast a lot of the stuff themselves, I wonder if they could be talked into supplying an un-machined head, if there would be enough material to work with. Otherwise we're gonna need to cast our own heads or machine them from a...
