    MEP-802A Injection Pump issue

If they do, i havent been able to find it. I ended up buying an entire IP just to take the check valve off of it.... Check valves are there to stop bleed down and so you dont have to crank for a long time to pressurize the system....the also maybe used to maintain line pressure so the next IP...

    Era of affordable MEPs over?

Again. I dont have an issue with people bidding against each other and setting a price point. Thats how it works. But when the reserve set it so high that out of 30 generators, less than 10 actually sell. Thats a problem.

    Era of affordable MEPs over?

Thats idiotic...So i have to bid, not hit reserve, and hope that some button pusher deems my bid close enough to some magic number so he can bestow me the winning auction? What if i'm planning on picking up multiples? Its an 8 hour drive one way for me. I dont wanna make that for one genny. I...

    Era of affordable MEPs over?

Im specifically talking of 802s vs 802s. Ive bought 802s with less than 200 hours in excellent shape for as low as $800. Ive bought 9 mep-802s in the last year and never paid more than $1200. And they arent "fetching" higher prices. Their reserves are ser at stratospheric levels. Id be...

    Era of affordable MEPs over?

Seems GL has gone full retard. Im not gonna name listings, but a few 802s now have biddings well above what they habe been going for average and still it says "reserve not met"!! Couple that with the bump in buyers premium and it lloks as if GLs way to help slumping sales is to nosedive the...

    MEP-803a auto frequency controller!

Why dont you adjust the frequency droop on the mechanical pump before going and spending the $$& on what may be unnecessary. Reason most 802a's droop is that the speing lost some of its tension over the years and have never been re-adjusted.

Assistance Please! MEP-802a starts, runs perfectly, and dies 20-30 seconds later..

Had a simular issue. Engine would just chug along, couldnt get to set rpm. New filters, cracked and bled fuel lines, no dice. Replaced fuel pump from another unit, same thing. Finally blew compressed air through all fuel lines. Fuel line from tank to pump was partially clogged. Enough to prime...

    MEP-8xx Filters Information

FYI napa is having a 60% off filter sale till end of October and ALL mep-802a filters fall under the sale and at %60 percent. Just bought 5 filters of each but air (three of those) for what three airfilters would have cost me locally (i live in Canada). I dont know if this is a national sale or...

    MEP-802A Injection Pump issue

I made an album, uploaded the picture, but when i go and select the album it says "This album has no pictures" Whatever, I've discovered that the proper name for my lost thingymajigy is a "delivery valve", but lister-peters doesnt list delivery valves for the LPW2 engine. I did find the entire...

    MEP-802A Injection Pump issue

UPDATE! Okay, the trick to removing the IPs: Unhook everything off both IPs so they can both spin free left and right. Then like safe cracker, rotate both IPs, fiddling around until you find the sweet spot where one of the IPs will slide out. IPs can jam one of two way. They can either jam in...

    MEP-802A Injection Pump issue

My god man, what an amazing post. Thank you so much Looks like i got ANOTHER genny with the same issue. I can get fuel to dribble out of the top of the pump during cranking. You take the line running to the cylinder out and crank and you'll slowly see the fuel swell up and rise to the top of...

    MEP-802A Injection Pump issue

Working on an MEP-802A. This ones got me stumped a bit. Added all liquids, batteries, can hear both aux and primary fuel pumps run on the appropriate switch. Bled the secondary fuel filter, cranks but no start. Crack injector line and no fuels coming out. Fuel shut off valve solenoid is...

    MEP-802 Injector Pump Problem

All the ones i bought have been less than a grand and 3 of 5 needed filters and coolant and fired right up. Other two needed $20 in parts. A coolant hose and a fuel line. All had less than 200 hours after depot rebuild.

    MEP-802 Injector Pump Problem

What would be a "down in price" price range for you? They can already be picked up for less than a grand.

    New to me MEP-802A

Coolant! run the manual switch to crank for a few seconds to prime the oil system. Something in the fuel system will probably leak. An o-ring or a cracked fuel line. You may or may not have to crack the injector nuts to bleed the lines and get it fired up. Once running check for voltage and...

Why are military generators so big?

AC voltage motor controllers and motors are a lot more expensive than DC stuff.

Why are military generators so big?

Its pretty obvious. 24DC batteries onboard the generator are all ready there. 24V DC motor controllers are cheap and plentiful from all the electric bikes as well as the 24V DC motors.
