I had exact same issue with the guides on left and right. Removing access panel will show you the problem immediately and is simple to do.

In MO, you're allowed a trip to the inspection station without a title. Because it is a non-standard VIN, you're required to go to a state patrol office and have them inspect it. Sounds like a similar situation......

I have the same thing, not every time, but it will also last beyond glow plug activation. I always thought it was the fan clutch as belts are relatively new and snug. Since it always goes away, I've lived with it.

That's anything mechanical.....it is par for the course. What I don't like about my m998 is every time the fan turns on I practically have a heart attack.
