CUCV Engine Mount / Engine Height in Frame

Good call, I was able to tweak the fitting on the pump and cut out the bad section of hose and gain an inch of space. The fitting moved very easily. I’m still not sure why the fan is lower than the shroud, but this at least gets things going again over the holidays.

Throttle Pedal Travel and Kick Down Switch

The kick down switch can only go in one hole set as the cutout for it is pretty snug to the housing. I ended up ended up bending the bracket it mounts to a bit to move the switch closer to the firewall + the flat section of the pedal rod and that did the trick. It was easier to tweak that...

CUCV Engine Mount / Engine Height in Frame

Hi All, My M1009 has the issue where the lift pump line is rubbing on the crossmember and leaking. I know this can be a problem when the pass engine mount wears out and lets the engine sit lower. However, these mounts are somewhat new (10 years ago probably 30k driving since then) and don't...

Throttle Pedal Travel and Kick Down Switch

Even with a NOS throttle cable I am seeing the pedal does not travel far enough to activate the kick down switch. It will move enough to set the switch, but then it will just barely touch it at WOT. I've checked the following and nothing seems to be adjustable so I am confused as to what is...

    M1009 transmission kickdown switch

Any chance you found the issue here? I'm seeing the same thing with a NOS throttle cable.

    24V Headlights

Yea I'll just stick with 12V for now if there isn't an easy replacement.

    CUCV Replacement Accelerator Cable

I did the same when I did that mod years ago and never heard back.

    24V Headlights

Does anyone have part numbers for a set of 24V square sealed beam headlights that would drop in? One of my lights went out and I want to put that load over on the 24V system if I can. I already have a relay system installed so the headlight switch doesn't see the load from the headlights. So if...

    M1009 Seat Re-Upholstery

I want to get my front and rear seat re-done. From searching here, it seems the early 80s camero seats are the closest match? Is there a source to get new vinyl for the seats (in the right color) that I can install or am I best off going to local upholstery place and having them work the seats...

    CUCV D Ring / Shackle

I'm looking for a CUCV D ring / shackle for the recovery points. Preferably in tan, but any color is ok.

TH400 Part / Off Throttle Downshifts

I want to raise the part/off throttle downshift points on my M1009. When I am driving at ~15-30mph in a neighborhood it likes to bog in 2nd. If I show down for a turn or hill it stays in 2nd when I'd like it to drop down to first (without needing to floor it to hit the electronic kick down)...

Who Makes the Best Hood Release Cable Replacement

For the hood release cable (GM 14039963). Who makes a decent one? The one I got from LMC only lasted about a year before the handle slipped on the cable.

    CUCV Dash

Hi all, I'm for the black plastic bezel for a CUCV. Additionally I'm looking for the metal section of the dash around the radio pocket if someone is willing it cut it out of a parts truck. I am looking to restore a the radio area around the dash to accommodate a factory radio rather than be cut...

    Fuse Block Melting

Thanks, I plan to upgrade the headlight harness to take some of the load off the 30A. I also found the terminals on mouser for the fuse block so I'm going to replace the bad ones as they are pretty arc'd out. These are silver plated as well so should be a little better with contact to the fuse...

    6.2 Valve Rocker Retainers

I believe the cast iron rockers were like 83-84. Maybe 85 too? Mine was an '84. This was what mine looked like coming out of the engine. Had about 70k miles on the engine and all 4 shafts had ~0.030in of wear where the bushing was running. All scored up beyond repair. I can't say I'm too...
