Hey, thanks for taking the time to physically check it out. Now I have a starting point.:goodjob:

    5 ton aluminum rims

You may have a point. I suppose "dubs" don't look awesome on everything. I would have to stand them up next to the truck before I would commit. Maybe some 30's with ultra low profile tires?:cookoo:

    5 ton aluminum rims

Good ideas. I will be meeting with my truck builder tomorrow and he specializes in military trucks. I'm hoping maybe he has some ideas as well. If I come up with a definitive answer or other ideas from him, I will post it.

    5 ton aluminum rims

Yes, thank you, you are right! "Standard" semi tractor rims do no fit the 5 ton Rockwell. I'm looking for someone on here that has real world experience with actually bolting up a set of aluminum rims on a 5 ton and is working perfectly. Right offset and everything.

    5 ton aluminum rims

I have checked with Accuride and the Big Rig Chrome Shop and they both say that standard semi rims will not work fo me. "Standard" is a subjective term because not all semi rims are the same. After checking with Accuride I found out there are many different configurations, none of which fit the...

    5 ton aluminum rims

In case you didn't catch on, my reply was meant as a joke. And for your information, I did read that thread a couple days ago.

    Water/Methanol injection

Yes, thanks, I did read that thread. Everyone seems to talk about it, but I haven't come across anyone that has actually pulled the trigger yet.

    5 ton aluminum rims

Anybody know of a way to get aluminum rims on a 5 ton. The only reason is because I would like cool shiny aluminum instead of the steel. I would even be okay with alcoa's or accurides for a big rig if I could get adapters. Any ideas out there?

    Water/Methanol injection

I agree, 60 seems a little ambitious and I will really have no way to substantiate it anyway. I'm going to start with the water/meth and see if it improves mpg and "feels" any more powerful. Then maybe turn up the pump and see what happens.

    Water/Methanol injection

Mpg's are very important when running this truck everyday as a tour vehicle. The reason I chose this truck is simple...everyone loves big military trucks, especially riding on one. Typical tour buses are closed in, stuffy, and impersonal. My truck will be open air, awesome, and can run over...

    Water/Methanol injection

There is an endless list of aftermarket stuff that improve you vehicle in one way or another. OEM chooses not to implement them for one reason or another, but that doesn't mean they don't work. Most of the time it's because of cost basis or legal issues. All water/meth systems today come with...

    Water/Methanol injection

I dug a little deeper into this guy from Texas with the problem. I found out he had it wired hot so it didn't turn off with the ignition switch. He forgot to turn it off manually and over the weekend, it filled it up. This is definitely not Snow's fault, you are never supposed to wire it that...

    Water/Methanol injection

I'm not looking to drag race, I'm really just wanting a slight bump in mpg and maybe a little extra hp would be nice. I'll post what happens.

    Water/Methanol injection

If that bridge goes from California to Hawaii, I may be interested! I know it sounds too good to be true, but I might as well try it to see. Over the road truck drivers don't typically turn up their engines because they are looking for MPG's, not so much HP. I know of a lot of those drivers...
