    M35A2 Instument Panel L.E.D Lighting

That would certainly help alleviate the glare problem on the glass. Good idea and thanks, Ross

    M35A2 Instument Panel L.E.D Lighting

The reflected "X" is was really exaggerated by the fact that it was pitch dark outside and my camera didn't want to focus. Also, any bit of dirt/dust stuck to the back of the gauge lens is going to be illuminated. The L.E.D's I put in have a narrow (10 degree I think) beam. If you could...

    M35A2 Instument Panel L.E.D Lighting

If a guy was worried about the ambient light from the L.E.D's affecting vision while driving at night you could mount the L.E.D's pointing down from the top of the gauge too. That way you'd never see the pinpoint light. I agree with the concern though. If the gauge panel was directly in front...

    M35A2 Instument Panel L.E.D Lighting

Yeah, if those are set up to work off 24V then you wouldn't want to wire them up in series. If you did, they would end up being half as bright as they should be. With the 24V L.E.D's you could wire them all in parallel and be done. If you're thinking of doing this proect I'd highly...

    M35A2 Instument Panel L.E.D Lighting

Thanks everyone for the info here. Although difficult, I refrained from licking the gauge pointers during this install. Thanks again :-D

    M35A2 Instument Panel L.E.D Lighting

Yeah, I didn't handle the pointer or anything else inside the gauge so I should be fine. Been there, done that with the flashlight while in other vehicles without working dash lights. You're right, passenger just don't take a shine to it ;-)

    M35A2 Instument Panel L.E.D Lighting

Sorry about not giving any replies to this, I just got the chance to get on a computer. Hmmm...I'm hoping none of them had radium in them as that would be unpleasant. I did think about the fact that the gauges were sealed and I decided that if I ever had water up that high in the cab I had...

    M35A2 Instument Panel L.E.D Lighting

Well, figured I'd share what I spent one of my days off doing while tinkering around on my M35A2. I've never been overly excited with the function of the dash lights in original form. Maybe it's just me but the ambiant light that's supposed to be absorbed by the side windows of the gauges...

    Noob from Monroe, Washington

That is what people will say, "Why in the world do you need that". Who cares!! I'm getting mine setup now to carry my rockcrawler to and from events. Also, I've got a Sprauge type transfer case in my truck now which I'll be switching out to an Airshift unit soon. The airshift is in the...

Brake Bleeding Lesson (The Hard Way)

Thanks for the heads up. I just finished building a pressure bleeder to take care of the brakes on my M35A2 and I'm sure I would have made the same mistake.

    Spicer 3053 Transmission?

Maybe a silly question.....will you guys sell the needed individual components to convert to a more desirable overdrive? I'd like to go the .69 route if possible. What's the going price for a transmission that's already built? I've built many SM420 4 speeds over the years with good results so...

1965 deuce only 6x6 in first gear?

I've got a 67' with the sprague type transfer case and I'm suffering a similar problem if not worse. In my case, no torque is being sent forward to the rear axle in any gears. No 6x6 when I am stuck in snow=NO FUN There is a very detailed adjustment procedure in the TM's and to do it right...

    Keys?

Just a note from the "they" people.....I work as a road deputy out here in WA state. I know laws differ somewhat from state to state but I've never heard of a victim being responsible for damages done while someone is joyriding/committing crimes in a stolen vehicle. There are many, many...

I was Brave... but wouldnt recommend it

I got about 225 gallons of home heating oil for free from a guy who is tearing down a house he recently bought. I'm told the heating oil is essentially the same as #2 diesel and I've been using it for about an month now without any ill side effects. Just a note....

    Transmission Shift Lever Mod

That's about right, too many projects and not enough free cash. Gotta love that mortgage payment. Shoot me some pics when you start tearing into it and thanks in advance for trying to find me some parts! By the way, if anyone has an airshift transfer unit (which works) I'm in the...

    Transmission Shift Lever Mod

Well......I had the truck out in the snow the other day and it turns out that the sprague transfer is not putting any torque out to the front wheels. Poor, poor me ;-) I went into the TM and found the adjustment procedures for the sprague and I'm hoping that will get it working again. I'm...
