Trying to Identify and locate a part

Most of us aren’t worried about the “professional” car thief. They aren’t all that common. We’re more worried about the casual thief looking for an easy to steal joyride. Most of those aren’t lock picks or wanting to take the time to find inconvenient master shut offs. This would work especially...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Good call. Solenoid tested at 1.2 Ohms, basically a dead short. Project HMMVW (as opposed to the "Working" HMMWV") solenoid is 68 Ohms. I guess the project HMMVW is going to be two more parts further from being finished now.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Put out a fire today!! Started the HMMVW. Smelled magic smoke escaping. Popped the hood and found the Time Delay Module for the Cadillac valve ablaze. Glad I was still at home. Now I just need to figure out what caused it. Ideas anyone?

FLU419 road driving legal concerns and challenges?

Depending on your state, you can register as a historic/former military vehicle. Cheap in Indiana. PLPD insurance is pretty cheap here also. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Can a 419 purchased from private seller ever be titled for road use?

Mine titled very easily in Indiana. Just took the Bill of Sale to the DMV, along with the VIN verification from a Sheriff’s Deputy, and got it in just a few minutes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Buyer's Regret?

The only time I regret it is when I see a nice 5-ton or wrecker, because I can’t afford both. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

A long time, but we have HARD, heavy clay and she dug it like it was sand. We dug with the SEE and carried away with a skid steer. We had a ramp that was about 40 degrees and she just walked right up it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

We’ve used ours for digging a 48’x 38’ x 10’ basement, deconstructing huge barns, skidding logs, transporting/loading many things. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I think $9500 is a good price with no major problems. Once you work the kinks out, maintenance is not bad. Sent from my iPhone...

    SEE/FLU419 accessories

I would go for the skid steer adapter and the tire hoist.

    X Doors Gelcoat

Any boating shop will have gelcoat repair kits. They are easy to use and relatively cheap. I think most automotive parts stores carry them as well.

Battery disconnect switch location - PICTURES WANTED

It was easy. No drilling required in the battery box. Just had to drill the hole for the switch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

If it's like mine, those straps stop the door right after it knocks the mirror out of adjustment. LOL

Any updates? Are they still working after a year and a half?

Gov Planet small HMMWV parts and shipping

I called the contact for the item and they let me send a call tag from UPS to pick the item up. I bought a second small item a week later and GovPlanet emailed me and offered UPS shipment. Give them a call, I bet you could arrange something.

Best way to tell when power is restored?

Check some of the transfer switch companies. I saw one from Siemens, I think, that was a stand alone alarm using a snap on CT on the main to sense for power. You get an audible alarm after a power outage when the power comes back on.
