    top bows no troop seats

Did you just have the stakes rattling around in the pockets or did you have a sleeve in there like the support from a troop seat? If you look at this picture they show a bow pocket. Is this just the vertical support from a troop seat?

    M35 stake pocket dimensions

Thanks. I just measured the ones on the S1600 and they are the same dimensions. Now I just need an old set of seats to grab the uprights.

    M35 stake pocket dimensions

I don't have my m35 anymore but I am trying to fit an m35 top to my latest GL acquisition. It is an International S1600 with a 12' x 8' bed that has steel sides and 5 stake pockets on each side. I bought a top and bows but they are loose in the pockets. I remember when I had my deuce that the...

2500 miles on my new toy

The trip started out pretty smoothly. The Air Force ordered this truck with every option except a cigarette lighter. This meant that I had no way of running my cell phone/gps/mp3 player. I drove the truck from Warner Robins GA to Atlanta to pick up a motorcycle. As I pulled off the highway I...

2500 miles on my new toy

Air tight cab, quiet engine, automatic transmission, heat, a/c, stereo, power steering. The Air Force really knows how to rough it.

2500 miles on my new toy

I slept in the front seat. Pretty comfy. I want to build folding bench seats for the front and rear so I can have a queen size bed in the cab.

2500 miles on my new toy

First a big thanks to Justin (appalacious) for his help. He found me ground transportation from the Atlanta airport to the Warner Robins Air Force base 100 miles away for $35, found me a hotel right across the street from the base, inspected the truck before I flew out, picked me up at the...

Why the Deuce Doesn't Have These I'll Never Know!

So how do you crawl under the truck to run the winch cable when you are buried up to the frame rails in mud?

They were $1950 for the set.

    wheels & tires

The wheels run perfectly true. I don't have any balance weights on them and it is much smoother than it was with the 1100 singles that came on it.

Putting a Deuce to work for me?

If you go with a trailer get a M105. It will be lower than the deuce bed so loading will be easier and the lights, brakes, and pintle hook will all work. But I would still go with the lift gate and not have to deal with the extra drag and hassle of a trailer.

Putting a Deuce to work for me?

I have loaded quads and motorcycles into my deuce with 12' ramps and it is a pretty steep angle. I would get a 5000 lb lift gate installed on the back. Thy are not that pricey and the bobcat is small enough to fit on one.

    wheels & tires

I never had any clearance issues on or off road. Many people said they would be worried about a rock getting lodged between the rear tires but it never happened and I don't think it ever would.

    wheels & tires

When I wanted to add some more top speed to the deuce and improve its on and off road handling I decided to add some bigger meats. I had these 20"x11" rims made up by Boyce equipment. Then I mounted a set of 395/85 R20's. http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc19/silentbob_pics/P8148250.jpg...

    Warner Robins AFB, GA

I will fly into Atlanta and either rent a car or catch a ride from a member of the Ducati forum who wants me to transport their bike to the west coast in the back of my truck. I will probably fly out next week and pick up on wed or thur.

I miss the old truck. I will probably replace it with a 5 ton at some point but for now the International is more practical. I can load up 6 motorcycles, 6 riders and head out to the race track or load up the guns and go shooting in the desert. It looks like it will accept a standard troop...

    Warner Robins AFB, GA

I am waiting for my EUC to come back and then I will be picking up my truck at Warner Robins AFB. I will be flying out from the west coast so I wont be able to bring batteries, oil, tools, etc. The truck is a late model International S1600 in running condition so I don't expect to need...
