I did some searching before posting, but I'm old and my wife tells me I don't do anything as good as I used to.
I thought about finding a shop to tack weld the plates if my repairs didn't hold, but they are still solid. I may weld the plates if I can't put it back to original with new bolts and...
I’ve owned this M101A2 trailer about 12 years and have put an estimated 13-15 thousand miles on it, including a 4000+ mile trip to WY in 2020 and a 1300+ trip to TX in March. On a 1800 mile trip to the Denton Rally last month, my M101A2 trailer surge brake mounting bolts failed at around 830...
Had a great time as usual, thanks to Lincoln and Mike for setting it up. Sorry to be late posting these, I thought I'd lost my camera but found it while packing for the Denton Rally. Got back Tues and loaded the photos on my computer yesterday, so here goes! Sorry for the quality, but most...
My M101A2 trailer tongue broke and I was able to repair it with the loan of some tools and bolts thanks to two of the Matt's that were there. The repair lasted an additional 1050 miles until I could return home yesterday. Had a great time for my first rodeo. Got a bunch of photos to inflict...
Working hard to complete chores so I can also come. Hoping to leave sometime tomorrow and get there sometime Thursday, but that can slip easily if something else goes wrong. Traveling light, so can't bring any swap stuff.
Almost packed and ready, but the wife grabbed the pickup so I'm using the SUV to tow my M101A2 camper (try not to point and laugh too loud when I drive up). Looks like it's 389 miles by my mapping program so I'm leaving sometime mid-morning. Also looks like perfect weather for the weekend...
It may have been a blessing in disguise that we left Durhamtown. The plantation has closed permanently as of Jan 4, 2022.

I'm penciled in with my M101A2 camper. Maybe motorcycling the Hill Country before or after.
Thanks to Lincoln, m715mike, and everyone else who worked hard to keep this going!
Excellent!! I'm about to haul my M101A2 camper on a 2-week 3500+ mile trip from south LA to NW WY, then camping back through CO. My F250 diesel should have no problem either.
Nope, tried that, the channel is smaller than the bow upright receiver, so slides into the receiver. The bow height is unaffected. Since it does add volume to the bow upright, it might keep the bow from moving around as much in the receiver, but that's all I can guesstulate.
I've read the TM and searched, but can't find the purpose of this U-channel bracket on the newer metal bows. I took them off, and the bows stay in place, I tried to adjust them to raise the bow height, but no go. One bolt is in a hole and the bottom is in a slot in the channel and hole in the...
