    Dump Bed Kit Installation

Heaviest load thus far was 10,200 lbs of wheat. Hauled it about 40 miles to the "local" grain elevator. :driver:

    Dump Bed Kit Installation

I was randomly stopping for gas while on vacation, some 300 miles from home. pulled off at some exit near winston-salem. saw a slick deuce with a dump pull in for fuel and it happened to be dieselking22! talk about coincidence! it kinda freaked me out after i left! lol corey, it was good to...

    Dump Bed Kit Installation

Yeah. I finished mine a week or so ago. I can take some pics of the aftermath. It was easy though. You shouldn't need much guidance. just be sure the hinges are centered on each frame rail and the height is correct. you want to make sure you raise the hinges high enough to clear the 3/4" wooden...

    Dump Bed Kit Installation

Shipping was quick. Ordered it on Thursday and it was at my work on Tuesday. Rear most mounting position lowers lift capacity, raises bed lift angle, and yes, it would make it raise faster. The only two options were 66" and around 100". Be sure to hang on to the long bolts with springs on...

    Dump Bed Kit Installation

I had to remove about an inch and a half of metal from two supports. With the bed flipped over on the ground, it took all of 10 minutes to measure and cut them both.

    Dump Bed Kit Installation

Got the tail lights remounted today. Bed was re-installed and welded on yesterday. Ready for work! I went with the rear most (66") mounting position.

    Dump Bed Kit Installation

Ironhorse. Looks like there are two options for mounting the hoist. Front and rear. The big crossmember gets in the way for a "suggested" position of 70-77.25". From the pics, it looks like you went with the rear most giving an increased dump angle and less lift capacity. I drew it all out in...

    Dump Bed Kit Installation

I'm not sure. I'm not to that point of the installation yet. :)

    Dump Bed Kit Installation

Here's the truck with the bed freshly stripped off. Don't forget to remove the pioneer tool rack. Mine is now a pretzel. The hot wrench is my best friend. I torched all the bolts, including the ones for the bumperettes and shackle mounts. I beat enough of the CARC off the bolts heads on the...

    Dump Bed Kit Installation

shipping was 180 bucks for liftgate service to my workplace. i got the hinges welded on tonight. we're taking delivery of a new 4x4 plasma table tomorrow at work, so i'll probably fab my own support brackets rather than try to beat the bumperettes flat.

    Dump Bed Kit Installation

I pulled the bed off mine yesterday. Easy work with a hot wrench and tractor w/ front end loader. I should be welding on my mounts tonight. I think it's all going to be smooth until I start working underneat the bed! Kinda dreading it!

    Dump Bed Kit Installation

I finally placed my order with C & C today for this same kit. Turning my deuce into a grain truck / gravel hauler! Looking forward to getting it installed. Thanks for posting up pics and information of your installation. It helped me greatly in making a decision to purchase.

diesel ATVs, are there any military ones?

Polaris made a diesel quad years ago. The only other manufacturer I can think of that's "currently" producing a diesel quad is Arctic Cat.

She won't start in the cold!

I'll have had my Deuce a year in March. Haven't had to start it in any freezing temps up until now. Its been around 15 degrees here. I tried cranking it twice without the flame heater and it wouldn't hit for about 7-8 seconds each. Hit the flame heater once and it fired right up. Do some...

    Amateur Radio

I've got my Technician license. I got it in 2007 before I got too heavily involved with a demanding career AND trying to farm on the side. I never talked much on it, but recently dug what little gear I own out of the closet since (a) I lost the demanding career and (b) it's much too cold to...

    International Title Service. Any problems?

i've got my its paperwork submitted and got re-connected with the man i purchased mine from, so hopefully, between the two, I'll get a title one way or another. i'm crossing my fingers to go the non-ITS route.

    International Title Service. Any problems?

I sent all my information off on 11-20 to ITS. I've been trying to get a title for this deuce since March. The guy I purchased it from, purchased it straight from GL, and I was told it came with a title when I bought it, but for some reason, he hasn't responded to my latest phone calls or PMs...

    I No Buy Today.....U?

that was a clean deuce. the batteries were dead, but it was clean. i thought the gauge layout in the dash was odd. i bid on two trucks three times, and quit when both got up to the 1550-ish range. the third time was supposed to be the charm. :-D i thuoght it was too much, but i'm cheap.
