So I took this to make that
Used that to bend this
That mounts onto my cup holder with homemade keymod
To allow my new Comms box be where I can adjust it as needed
This is the front two person, now I need to mount the rear panel and get the Fat 50 Storage mounts installed, Not sure where I...
DWF CDR Looks like this
The hose on the top goes to the sensor cup and (under the truck at the A pillar pass side) the smaller goes to the fording valve. sorry its not the best pic of the whole CDR.
Found my fuel leak. Only leaks when I fill up, now I know why
Someone drilled thru the floor and into the tank near the filler neck. A 1/4 x 20 screw screwed into the hole tightly, then put some fuel resistant sealant over that. At least I got new gaskets and freshened up the fuel system...
Just took a closer look at ur post and saw that you flopped the dog ears around so they tuck in vice out. If you are planning to add a hard top, that's forward thinking 'cause you'll need the room above the hand hold for the front roof mount.
Did ours a little different. Used some conduit, covered in foam that was for hot water pipes
Have since put a camo cover on it to match the seat covers. really not sure which is better for getting in and out, but Her Dad holds on to it for his life when we run without the doors. Outside is...
Welcome to the group! Looks like you already have a good list for projects. I would add some maintenance to the list, change fluids, flush radiator then check for leaks and squeaks. Your list may change based on what you find after spending a few quality hors with your new rig.
Welcome to...
Didn't get to post these yesterday. DWF Intake.
Just need to do the CDR and dipsticks. Then silicone the electrical connections per the instructions.
BTW when trying to put the fuel tank vent onto the stack gravity yanked the screw outta my hand and put it in a place I aint never getting to...
More fun with the Deep Water Fording kit. Installed the DWF Valve.
Then plumbed the lines to their respective homes. The red hose was not in the kit but is required to vent the Power Steering cover.
Don't confuse vent connection shown at the bottom of the last pic with the Fuel Vent Line on...
Another nice day here in Northern VA. Got the Deep Water Fording Exhaust on. Had to get two bolts to hold the exhaust pipe to the side of the truck. These were not listed in the instructions. I used the same bolts as the 3 that hold the assy to the muffler.
Also had time to plumb the hose...
My Christmas present showed up today!!
My Wife got ahold of my Mom and Kids and they went in together to get my next project/upgrade. Still need the Stack bracket, but we'll see when that shows up. I got the exhaust bracket in place today.
Will update as the project progresses
Busy week, had to replace speedo cable
Note: pay attention to the manual. INCH POUNDS not foot pounds.
Got my rock rails installed
Finished moving my backup camera after adding Rhino Tire Carrier. Tire blocked rear view when camera was mounted in the body below the tailgate. Mounting plate...
Couldn't wait till XMAS
Just need to put the tire on. I'll relocate the back up lights (again) later. And I need to move the back up camera since the tire will now block it. But its done and I'm happy.
Fun with Run Flat removal. Did the first one with a come along and then my Father in Law reminded me I had a winch on the truck.
And landed here
Last pick shows why you keep a safe distance when using power tools to do the hard work. Run Flat jumped 15 feet when it broke free from the tire...
Got the tires changed. Took all weekend but looks and drives better
Opted to set up tires to run in the same direction so the tread looks the same on all 4 corners.
Got first set of pouches added to seats
I know, wrong camo pattern, but it looks better than ACU pouches.
Middle pouch did not install as nicely as the outside 2 did. Inside pouch is VFAK that I need to put the Red Cross on. All 3 are Blackhawk. First pouch is held using provided malice...
