Performed some troubleshooting on a hard start/ rough running after start problem. Tweaked idle up a touch, replaced a leaking-dry rotted fuel line ( top inboard side of filter base to the IP ) Still need to change the fast-idle temp switch. Wanted to get the hard start problem fixed first. If...

Oops.....Kinda scary event While I was under the truck, R&R'd my main drive shaft u-joints. I had been getting some strange noises during acceleration last week. The rear U-joint fell apart as soon as it was off the truck. Before and after the U-joint change I was getting a strange vibe at...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Removed fuel tank and found the packing under the sending unit lock ring had slid out of it's groove. Installed new packing, applied sealant to re-installed sending unit. What a pain....If anyone else gets a sending unit from LMC, the o-ring needs to be stretched out a little to fit the groove...

According to the measurements of the tank, it's only an inch taller than the 27 gal tank that had been installed. Prior to removal of the old tank, it looked like we had at least 3 inches of space between the old tank and skid plate. " Should " fit....we'll find out later today. I'll post pics...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Installed new 31 gal fuel tank and sending unit. After a 15 sec bleed, she cranked right up and stayed running. It's going to be weird having a fuel gauge that works.[thumbzup]
