1985 Humvee VIN / Engine number location

Hey guys,


in the process of getting her on the road,

can anyone help me locate the vin # I have no idea where it is

It will usually be found on the data plate in the drives door jamb
Not a full VIN like on normal cars. Just the "manufacturers serial number" Six digits long

The engine number is on the drivers side of the "shelf" the transmission bolts to. Find the oil pressure sender at the back of the engine and look down. It is between the peak of the triangle and the upper most driver side transmission bolt.

There are no engine numbers that are for title purposes, just the Serial number on the dataplate.
