dumb question, but, I know where the VIN is. I't on the dataplate and also stamed on the frame, right? But where is the registration #?

It all depends on the manufacturer and if a dataplate was replaced. Some had the registration number stamped on the data plate and sometimes in conjunction with the vin.
Others didn't have it stamped.

Regardless, units as a routine stenciled the registration number inside the door. Not sure if/where it says to do this in the regulation. For me, it always made it easy to open up the door and read it off when refueling vehicles since you had to provide the registration number to the refueling point.

Pardon my ignorance CARNAC, but does a UIC mean that the unit was disbanded?
Also, my truck has been out of the military for 10 years at least. How did you quote info from 2005? Again, pardon my ignorance.

Not only disbanded but the unit information has been removed from the database.

In 2005 a data dump was conducted to remove obsolete info. Not sure what the criteria was for this dump considering some info is still around from prior to that time. The date given for the info is the last time the record was modified.

Above all else, it is because I am CARNAC and I can feel the green vibs from your truck.

Both of the numbers you gave for vin's are actually registration numbers. Sure hope you haven't registered them in your state or you will need to have everything amended.

Carnac,
your right, I pulled that number off the data plate and not off the frame. Luckily I have not registered it yet. Thanks for the heads up

Thank you for the information. I really appreciate you looking these up

Carnac,
Ok I found the vin for the 67 deuce, but the 57 deuce's vin is gone, there is nothing on the frame near the steering column. Would you happen to have any info on that?

Thank you again for your time and help

On the old gassers, you need to check the frame on the right side not the drivers side.
Thank you for the help Carnac. I will take a look when I get home.

Ferro, good call on the year bro! You were right on... Looks like she really was a gasser turned multi
