2010 VIN Info Thread

Hi CARNAC,

I don't know if you will be able to do much with this one but it's worth a try.

It's a 1964 Dodge M37B-1 Wo/W.

A. Serial- 2668013578
B. Registration- 3E4197
C. NSN-2320005424636
(the truck has FSN 23205424636 on the dash, but this NSN should be correct)
D. I purchased the truck from a private party in eastern Washington; he picked it up at action from a rural fire district that recieved it through the Civil Defence program.
E. 6A 124ARC 92 AVN 13

I know it was probably stationed at Paine Field in Everett, WA sometime between '71 and '79 based on the bumper numbers.

No, I recently bought it from GL. It has the "cateye" european reflectors on the tailgate, and I thought maybe it had been in Europe. Thanks for the info though!

No, it was the green one beside the tan one at WR. It had a little better body and about 40,000 less miles than the tan one. The tan one sold for for $1350 and I paid $1505 for this one. I had been looking at them in Atlanta on lots and owned by individuals for a while now, and rough ones seem to start at about $3000, so I feel I did good on it. Its missing the mirrors and it looks like the rear window crank is gone, but John McGhee at GL said it ran well, so I took a chance on it. Even if it had engine troubles, I've got a '91 6.2 with Banks set-up in my shop out of a wrecked Suburban. Here's a few pics of it.

Excellent. Was wondering cause I contacted the motorpool guy for the tan one and they actually turned in two that looked basically identical. He said one was decent but the other had a bad injector pump. Thought I'd see if the one bought was the hanger queen he told me about or the decent one. I just never got there to check them out.

Usage Miles: 15264

In this case the 'usage miles' ties almost exactly to whats showing on the odometer. Is this indicative of the odometer not being reset/replaced at a rebuild? i.e. is it indicative of actual real chassis miles?

From reading your first post it seems like it, but that seems too good to be true.
