Looks like it may have gotten the boot right after rebuild. Our tax dollars at work.

Thank you so very much!

Your closing comment confirms recollections I had heard (but took as bragging) that the truck arrived at the VFD shortly after that date with only 30 miles and 5 hours on it. Your intell and astute analysies thereof supports those claims.

Again - - - THANK YOU!

Thank you very much. From the paperwork I was given, it looks like the miltary gave it away in 1977 to the Colorado Emergency service.

Actually been to this unit many moons ago. Suggested name for it would be "Getto-mobile".

Also suggest going over it with a fine tooth comb. The units there were not known for taking care of their stuff.

Thanks for the info on the second truck.

It is possible that the "new" data plate has the wrong number

Lets try

M34 info

I hope all is well with you CARNAC! I have an M34 that has a missing dataplate. The only # I can find is the metal tag screwed to the dash to the left of the missing dataplate:
G2742, 7397545

(Obviously the G2742 is the contract #, hoping the last # is the serial.

Is this enough info to get some of the background info on my M34 ?
