You don't know how close you are to the truth! LOL I may have to have you haul one since I can't seem to keep them running between starters, radiators, transfer cases, solenoids, water pumps, etc. failing at the worst time. At least it's keeping me busy during retirement.

Mik, I can convoy with you guys but I’m taking my POV not the 1078. Just let me know what time you want to head out and where to meet.

The rally is less than a month out, and I'm getting excited! It's great to see the usual group is returning. It wouldn't be a Texas Rally without y'all!! I'm also glad to see a number of people posting that this will be their first time to attend. I always enjoy meeting other SS members.

If you are making plans to attend (and have not yet done so), please post here so we know who (and how many) is coming. Also, if you just plan to attend events at the Museum on Saturday (as opposed to camping at the Offroad Ranch), please post that too.

Michael,

I'll be camping out on Friday night and then attending the rally Saturday morning but probably heading back home Saturday afternoon. I've been promising to come every year this has been going on and looks like I'll finally make it this time just without a MV.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I did not make it last year and missing out on any new participants. M715Mike is aware that I had a stroke the Friday afternoon preparing to leave for the event and spent a week in the hospital. Am glad to report I did not have any significant impacts and am very blessed. I have a commitment with family members as a one year gathering after this scare.

I let Mike know I am posting some heavy items for sale in the rally swap thread he created. Please let me know if there is any interest in items in advance and I will make sure there are at the OffRoad ranch for the weekend for pickup.

Everyone be safe in your travels to the event and be safe.

Thanks, Jeff

Mik - The SS group will convoy to the Museum on Saturday where we will have reserved parking for our group. In past years, Lincoln has been able to get a police escort for the convoy to and from the Museum. The convoy through College Station (with a police escort) is one part of the weekend that I look forward to.

My vacation request has been submitted. I'll know in a few days if my work/boss blesses me burning a few days off to attend the rally.
I come bearing bad news. The Police Chief did not approve my days off so I'm SOL on this years rally.
I'll be living vicariously through y'alls pics/vids. Stay safe out there!

What time will the off road park be open? We look at departing the San Antonio area around 10-11a and being there around 1430 or so.
We will get access to the Offroad Ranch at 17:00 that Friday afternoon. If you get to the College Station area early, Lincoln (nofearnohope) may be able to arrange a staging area until 17:00 if needed.

Darn should of read about this earlier I'll be in Jacksonville Tx. to that weekend at Mud Nationals.

We’ll have mud at the rally... Just say’n....

Hi Guys,

LMTVman (Lance ) and I will be traveling about the same time as Airbornebandsman (Mik) (I think it may be a convoy). My friend has asked me to bring along the wheeled 15kw generator. I have a couple of distribution boxes and we thought that we could offer up power to anyone camping that may want to borrow a little 110v power.

I wanted to make sure that

1. Bringing the generator is OK?
2. I wanted to see if bringing the Distribution boxes is necessary by gauging interest in power sharing
3. If anyone is interested in power sharing I will ask for a volunteer contribution for fuel.

I also have almost the equivalent of an Army Field Hospital and have some other creature comfort items that could be helpful. I know this isn't glamping but no sense in being miserable.

I should be there this year. On a side note, if Airbornebandsman doesn't make it is anyone going to San Antonio with some bed space? He has an LDS setup that he needs to get home.
We have a couple of LMTVs with trailers that we are planning to travel in. I am pretty sure Mik will be going, but we would always be willing to bring stuff back for him.

Hermannator - Bringing a generator is OK. Some folks do and some don’t. There is a building at the Offroad Ranch that has power and full bathrooms.

Thank you for the power sharing offer. I’m good without power, but I won’t speak for everyone else.
