well its a right triangle, so we know all three angles and one side length.
I thought about it for a long time, but that trig has been un-used for a few to many years.

Is it fully extended at 18' ? If it is, then 12.7 ft + height of pivot.

Are you saying 12'7" plus height from ground to pivot point? I looked in the manuals couldnt find it.I was trying to get an easy answer without pulling the truck out of the shop and checking it.

Yea, he's right. finally figured it out. 12.7 to the pivot point on the boom. so measure from the ground to the boom pivot and add 12.7.
That assumes 18ft boom extension with a 45 degree angle to the ground.
