I could make some riser blocks to lift the brackets, and to keep things safe I would have to get longer brackets made.
You'd have to do so without raising the panel, otherwise the hinge and handle cut-outs won't line up.

Nice, I know this is an "old" thread, but do you have any problem with the operation of the door after having them on there for what I can assume would be a safe amount of time to find any damage done. I know these hinges are overkill. But are these plates that you put on and don't open the door? Thinking about fabbing some up with ar-500 steel with last I checked is around 10 lb a Sq. foot.
