After a couple of weeks of thinking and planning and a few hours of actual " work ", I finally got the bed installed on the tractor. I am well pleased with the results and believe that the effort was well worth it. We cut 3 feet out of the center of the bed and sides so I will be able to modify the troop seats the same amount and keep a " stock " appearance. Many thanks to Coffey1, MudDawg, my lovely Wife and others for their work and equipment.

That's sweet man! Very nice 8) If I ever get the urge to have a cargo truck, I will probably do that instead of picking up a 923. Best of both worlds.. The utility of a cargo truck, but the smaller turning radius of a tractor :)

Since the SEMTT is actually a M931. I'm still up in the air about the trailer I have for it. But if I end up not using a trailer/5th wheel setup. My plans are to convert it to a "short bed" setup like that.

Quick question for you.

In this picture your passenger step is different than mine. Is this a 915 box?

Also, your hydro tank is on the passenger side. I have another tool box there and my tank is on the drivers side in front of the spare.

Do you have anymore pictures of the rest on the truck?

That's an M939 series battery relocation box. It was used on the "frankencab" trucks because they went with 2 air ride seats and a center console. The batteries couldn't stay in the cab anymore, so they put them there.

Mine originally had the toolbox on the tire carrier, passenger side, also. The hydro tank was directly behind it. I knew the 11 foot bed would hang over too much if I left the carrier where it was so Coffey1 and I moved it forward to the same location as a regular cargo version. The toolbox was removed and the hydro tank mounted where it originally set.

Gotcha. Where did you find frankin battery box? I'd be interested in swapping mine and moving the batteries outside.

So was your hydro tank accessed from driver or passenger side before? Mine is from the drivers.

Our bed overhang looks pretty much the same at the rear.

What are your plans for flaps?
