I'll add a third in to. Just finished installing a surplus red dot unit. Sealed cab first. Thought about it for endless months after a 20 hour drive to OK city in 103 heat. Was afraid my dog was going to stroke out.
Inspired by M35Tom I figured out my compressor mounting. Mounted condensor and evaporator in bed and piped in cold air. Was actually much easier than I imagined, and I spent alot of time imagining different scenarios for cooling and different scenarios for how my compressor would rip through the fan blade simultaneously destroying the alternator, radiator, and my ego.
It is nice to be able to go into town and still have dry clothes when I get there.

i used a sanden comp, very common, and cheap new. you can just use a 3 ohm 50 watt resistor for the clutch power.
even with an un sealed cab, mine is comfortable. so i imagine sealed it will just be better. i do have patterns for the insulation, but not many were interested. they make fitting much easier.

I'd be interested in that. have them in a digital format that could be emailed? I could use my plotter at work to print it out.
