Hey folks, I’m starting to do the GEN two a/c install for my 2007 1085 A1R. Curious if there’s any documentation or if you guys can guide me on where the original placement is on the Reddot AC condenser on an A1R? Is it placed up front next to the radiator?

Curious if anybody knows where I can find the condenser mounting brackets for an A1R truck? Google searches aren’t helping. 😖😫

Good news - no bracket needed. Found another way to mount it.

BUT the plugs don’t align to the trinary switch to the dryer I bought. Anyone know what plug is needed for this switch??

@Ronmar Thanks - I got lucky on the fit. The harness came with the condenser and has the high and low connections. Curious if anyone knew which switch I could
swap out?

@FarmingSmallKubota - which model number do you need? Condenser? Or Gen 2 unit?

Ok, that looks like a config for separate hi and low pressure switches, and not a trinary switch(both hi and low combined)… you either need a new receiver/dryer with dual switches, a new harness to match your dryer with trinary switch, or to modify your existing harness and add a pigtail to connect to your existing dryers trinary switch… i think you will probably find that one pin in each of those connectors is either B+ or ground(common) connecting to the remaining 2 pins for high and low pressure indications respectively…

The outside condenser with fans that you have in the picture i have the GEN 2 inside unit
Here it is, I bought it from Midwest Military. They don’t show that they sell it on their site because they keep them for their customer builds, but if you call they might sell you one.

One more question: for folks with Gen 2’s - where do you run your harness out of the cab? I don’t want to drill anymore holes in the cab if I don’t have to.

Looks like a crimp blank that mis-fired?

there are pass-thru ports with rubber covers in them for all the cab wiring just down each side of the engine tunnel at the front, both left and right...

I think it’s a NATO training round (blank).

I looked on both sides and the rubber pass throughs looked full. I’ll look again tomorrow, I’m over my allotted truck time and need to get to the 4th of July barbq responsibilities - happy fourth y’all!.
