Ha! Well sounds like a good score for you. The can be pretty quiet with the right insulation. They definitely aren't for everyone and if he thought anything from Stellantis was a smart purchase then I suspect the LMTV wouldn't have been for him. They aren't for everyone - these are really best owned by those with mechanical aptitudes and experience if not an outright former Motorpool mechanic
Thanks, I had been looking for a while. Totally have the mechanical aptitude, but not a motor pool mechanic unfortunately. But I do like to be able to get myself out of problems, so this truck and i are about to get real close :)

CTIS is easy to fix. Another sign that it wasn't in the right hands. Anyone that disables the CTIS on these trucks is immediately suspect to me. Usually a sign they won't ultimately stick with it.
I got the impression they bought it that way from Midwest. Not slamming anyone, just relaying what he told me. It has 1600 miles on it so I know it never got used, like freaking ever. They took the controller unit out so I am about to tear apart the dash to go looking for the harness.

Oh awesome. MME has been involved. 😬 Well that's one more cook in the kitchen. Hate it when that happens.

Watch for random foolishness. Those jokers and their tire-shine......

Noted and will do. I will ultimately start a build/make trustworthy thread. Good news is I’m about 3 miles from desert BLM land so plenty of places to go get familiar with the truck.

Its also dead easy to control CTIS manually if you don’t want to pop for a new controller. I am at that stage in my life where I don’t feel the need to have yet another controller doing something for me:) 3 switches and a pressure gauge And control is at my fingertips whenever I choose to use it…

here is a vid of it working, one of my other vids shows a basic wiring diagram for the circuit…

Or at least a neighbor who is!

I had a possible wiring/ground/short issue in the CTIS harness and I can tell you that this is one of the simplest and most effective things to do. If you have any issues with the CTIS, do this! With a dual reading air pressure gauge and 2 switches (1 is DP/DT), it's easy and convenient to set your pressure at exactly the desired setting. Highly recommend this.
