A1R rear axle locker (intermediate axle from MTV) questions.

@ckouba, at present there is only one axle (wheel to wheel) locker available so it is a bit mute (Detroit soft locker type design is all available right now).

So back to the OP, will they fit in an A1R?

I may eventually (it will be post-build though, as time for travels nears). I figure that if I'm tearing it down for one, then I may as well do the other while in there. I do a lot of sand driving and lockers have been sorely missed a few times.

Bumping this thread with a couple pics. Here are pinions from an A0 FMTV; mid axle on the left, front/rear axle on the right. I don't know what the A1R has inside the rear axle but if someone machined the right side to look like the left, that would be impressive.
