Man that looks nice!!!!

I'm so anxious.....finally going to pick up my M818 in a couple weeks.

Since I have never seen one up close, can anyone tell me if it's possible to route the exhaust under the cab and split it into dual stacks in that gap between the cab and box?

Had another member on here do just that and there comment was it was way too much work for what the end resoult was. It was blythewoodjoe I think.

Another great looking truck John. I will head up today and look at this one.

stacks

Stacks have bin done on an 818.
I built a set for my pickup with a Cummins in it and with the crome I have about $400.00 into it.

Love Love Love the first bobbed 5 ton in this thread

I think I have pieced together what you did for the build but wanted to get your confirmation that some of my assumptions are correct.

Assumptions:
bought a surplus 818
removed rear axle
relocated middle axle using 818 front springs
mounted 105 for bed

Questions:
1. There was absolutely no frame cutting? The length of the frame works out this nicely?
2. What size tires are those? They look fantastic!
3. No suspension lift or blocks? If so outstanding!
4. Any unforeseen gotchas other than the sprag?
5. What kind of highway speeds can it comfortably sustain?
6. What kind of mileage are you getting after the conversion?
7. What is the weight after conversion?

Thank you! Great work. My fav bobbed 5 ton so far!!!

I too would like to know these answers. That is absolutely killer looking. I really want to build a bobber, but am on the fence between the 2 1/2 ton and 5 ton. The 5 ton seems to have some advantages + it's just plain bigger.
