Hi Everyone!
Necessity is the mother of creativity! After a SEVERE downpour here in SW Indiana I got beyond frustrated while going to work at AutoZone from these useless wipers. So, on lunchbreak I went to the wiper display and started to pilfer through the inventory. Alas, after about 20 minutes I came upon success! Anco 25-11 wiper blades are small enough to get the job done and have an adapter kit that allows the wiper arm to fit the blade. However, one small modification to the arm needs to happen before the adapter will work properly. We need to remove the small flange on the end of the arm in order to allow the stump to fit the adapter. A pair of pliers and two seconds later the flange is off and the adapter fits perfectly. I'll have some photos as soon as we get our camera back from Shanghai. The full sum of about $10.50 for both and the new wipers work wonderfully in the rain!

Desert Rat!

Great information! I would like to upgrade the wipers on my Deuce, and your timing is perfect!

Why don't you post the details in "Deuce tips and tricks"! We need to kick start that section of the Forum!

Mr. Desert Rat!

The research that you did one rainy day, looking for a better windshield wiper blade for the Deuce, has paid off!

The ANCO #25-11 is a great fit!

Thanks for the info!

No prob! I drilled a small hole through the little starter hole and put a small nut and bolt through it to secure it better. I'll post a pic real soon.

My wipers are trash. the blades are separating from the wiper.. and just wondering.. what part of the wiper blade do you snap off and do you have any pics of the install?

Too bad I would rather have civy wipers as they are easier to replace, and rainx is just not as good on a non angled windshield.

NAPA Wiper parts

The description sounds almost like the NAPA parts. Here is that thread:

This was the method I used, it worked perfectly. I pulled the blades out and painted everything green.

It does require you to have wiper arms with pretty good, strong springs.

Here is a picture of the one I keep in my parts box:

My local place crossed the Napa numbers to an number they could get. The Anco numbers are listed next to the Napa numbers in my post from the other thread. This stuff is all made by Anco no matter who puts a brand on it. If you want to order from Saturn I say go ahead. They are a good company but you could avoid the shipping charge by getting the stuff from your local auto store.
