Cucv fuel problems

Lost rpms at idle now wont start . Has had a ruff idle since we got it an slow pickin up speed then today she laid down . Would idle low then pull it in gear and it died boneyard dead. Any idears.????

Changed the fuel filter recently? If not I'd try that first.

I'd venture to say it's sucking air. Check for cracks and chafing.

I went through it all hoping it was not what I thought it was.

Replaced lines looking for air leaks
Replaced fuel filter bled all air out of the filter.
Checked return valve on Injector Pump.
Replaced fuel pump (twice cause I cross threaded the fitting the first time)
Bled all air out of the system again.

I did not turn up my Injector pump because if it was going bad then I was going to replace it. Nothing like a temp fix only to have it break when you least want it to.

Then replaced my Injector Pump and it runs like its new. I did not replace it myself but paid a mechanic for this.

Check all your wire connections. You may have a power problem at your fuel shutdown. Make sure you have 12v or more at the front battery. And 12v + at the shutdown.

Take the pink wire off of your IP then turn the key on and then reconnect the pink wire you should hear it clicking. Maybe the solenoid is bad.
