Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!

Painted a lot of small parts and rebuilt the guides. these are much better then the Chinese replacements they currently market. Cleaning the old ones and fixing them takes about an hour. I have a set in my M1009 for 8 years now. Still smooth and no felt bunching in the bottom. The key is to keep the sash clean and lubed. I will take pictures as I assemble this gate. The handle looks pretty good. Chrome handles naturally do not like to be painted. I used a 1/2 drive extension to get the guide track straight and a box wrench to push the trim lok in the guide and seat it all the way. i used an automotive adhesion body caulk. Works great. At a fraction of the cost and better results. Thanks for looking.Great...now I see this.View attachment 703308View attachment 703309View attachment 703310Painted a lot of small parts and rebuilt the guides. these are much better then the Chinese replacements they currently market. I am still wondering how that picture ended up here.Rick, did your wife give you permission to post her picture?

All finished and ready for delivery. This was a reverse transformation. From the short bed Mule M1009 pick-up to the stock M1009. Thanks for looking. I hope it helped some of you. I am ready to let go of this CUCV. I think some one else deserves to have it and enjoy it as much as I did. Have a great day.

I am closing out this thread on my part. The Mule M1009 is gone
. But never forgotten. Here are some pictures of it in the past. I hope it never regresses backwards again. I will keep it out of the hands of the PANG. I know the new owner will appreciate the time and effort I spent on keeping it as stock as possible. Other then a few added lights everything is as was from new.We get it, advertisements are annoying!
