Some of you may know I've been working on getting an M925 running for a while but no luck. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on an engine swap then tore into the seized engine. Cylinder 3 & 4 were solid, 3 being the main issue as the valves were stuck open and let in water. The valves are frozen in place so well that a mini-sludge wont convince them to move. This was an 04 overhaul at the Central European Command with less than 24K miles on the speedometer. Paperwork indicated either 07 or 09 turn in date (faded).

Lesson: The worst thing you can do is NOT play with your toys. :driver:

Therefore.... I'll speak my mind anyway.

note: the English language is so much fun to play with!

And with THAT being said....

When I first read the title of this thread I immediately thought: " The solution is OBVIOUS!"

IF, "Seized Up w/ Pictures", then simply QUIT TAKING PICTURES of your engine and it won't be seized any more ! ! !

So simple, even a caveman can do it.

Again, I must assert that..... :nothingfunny:

Carry on.

:usafss: Hate to say it but don't give up your day job!

If it's "Seized Up w/Pictures", then simply remove the pictures and your engine will no longer be Seized Up...8)

It's $500 for a running take out or much more than that to do the two sleeves/pistols/etc. Economics at work. :carnac:

They are going THAT cheap?

You should see my garage due to my thinking that I can save it, whatever "it" is!

Kind of like us pilots say, when forced to make an engine-out emergency night landing in unknown territory and you want to know what you will be landing on, turn on the landing lights; if you don't like what you see, turn them off!

I would TRY HEAT lots of all over heat and much soaking with "free off stuff", before I quit on that engine. Give it a try, (general all over heat by fire? bonfire, forge?) After a LONG soak of the stuff, Can you IMMERSE it (the head) Totally?, Then the Heat and a calibrated steady, level, in line, tapping with a copper hammer.
Hopefully the (very) next post= "hey I got them free", now progressing with......?. Good Luck.

Again, not economical also about 2 weeks too late. The block has been picked clean and will be reusing them elsewhere.
