Finally !! scored a hmmwv m998, LOTS to learn !! let the fun begin !!

I have wanted one ever since I first saw one. Never thought I could afford one. Well it was destiny I suppose ?
Got this 86 USMC m998. Very solid and complete, Now if it will only run !
Turns over great but no power to the glow plugs unless I tap on the PCB with a hammer. I stopped and started ordering parts...

Ordered the KDS s3 smart start system and 8 new glow plugs right away.

Found a gentleman on that popular auction site that had a lot of goodies only 40 miles away !! Went to his place today and got a NIB camo top and doors kit, front and rear seatbelt upgrade kits and the under body skidplate/protection kit NIB.. All for 475.00 !!

I have some SW CARC I was going to paint my m1079 with but she is on the back burner now !!

Congrats. I wouldn't mind a HMMWV, but I'd have to sell my jeep and it'd have to become a daily driver to get one. Just don't see that happening. Course my jeep gets 16mpg, so I guess it's not that far off.

Good looking truck. Just a note, you have radial tires on bias rims. Not a good combo to drive safely on.
