Then you will need a bobbed 5ton. Then you have 4 MVs and decide you need a wrecker in case one breaks down. You buy a deuce wrecker and decide you need a 5t wrecker incase the deuce wrecker breaks. It a vicious BEAUTIFUL cycle.

the only post I've found that discusses a shortened tandem brought up issues with flexing and breaking cv shafts. But these posts were tearing apart the idea and didn't own one. I like the idea of keeping it 6 wheel drive but I want a smaller truck than a full sized deuce.

Do a search for bobbed deuce or bobber that will get you days of reading. I prefer the bobber over the standard 6x6. It a much better driving truck even with bigger tires on it.
