Like my deuce, the 757 will get some additional gauges...currently working on a panel for the Transmission temp, EGT temps and Boost.

Bjorn, it looks great! Love seeing pics of your work. Also, love seeing pics of folks making custom improvements to their MVs using scrap parts and sheet metal. Really shows off what you can do with some small parts, scrap metal and spare time.

Hmm, how useful is a transmission temp gauge? Why not go a step further and get one for the transfer box too? Are you measuring oil temp?

Ryan, I think his trans has a fluid resistance brake, so monitoring the temp could prove helpfull.

Ryan, the 6-speed automatic has a hydraulic brake built in and there is a large transmission fluid cooler. The system only has a "dummy" light for monitoring, which turns on at 305°F, so I feel that a gauge will be better, never cared much for dummy lights.
The EGT gauge displays readings from two probes, so there will be a way to trace a faulty injector, for example, at least I think it will be possible, since it should effect the exhaust temp in that half of the manifold.
Being on the road, having more, not fewer, gauges is comforting.

Ok, that makes sense. I've thought about such measurements but for a closed transmission there's not much to look for other than incipient failure.

Thanks, I'm as curious as you Devin, no waste gate, the description from the TM: "...dual chambered specifically designed for this engine to provide proper airflow at all engine speeds"....

Still messing with the illumination, there is a mix of clear and red incandescent and LED backlight and I'm also playing with some sort of front lighting...
